Does anyone know if this video is real or not? Supposedly the minivan gets swallowed by a earthquake on the freeway can anyone tell if its fake? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHXNopASVFA...feature=related
Fake. The lighting is wrong for the crevice. With the overcast diffused lighting, the areas that are black should be more lit. Also... the cracks don't look real. And ground doesn't tend to just drop off the face of the earth in an earthquake. Rather, it shifts, and that crack would have split everything. The road didn't widen or move at all. Then, if you watch it extremely carefully and several times, you will notice the car vanish before it truly leaves the frame. Lastly, the camera would have lost visual and given us some of that lovely fuzzy stuff, among other things, as the shifting occurred. All we saw was camera shake. They don't make DOT cameras that well (even in Japan). Lastly again, anybody else notice how all the other cars kept driving on? I don't know about you, but if I saw that happen, I'd hit the brakes. This, however, is real.
And all the other cars are driving on, during an "earthquake." I was looking at the on-coming traffic. They keep going. At about 4.75" the car vanishes. As far as I can tell, the frame rate isn't quite that low, so it should have been in there for one more frame. If you guys still don't believe it's fake, just look at the rest of the road . It would be forming an S shape from the earthquake, or just broken up everywhere. To be frank, only a gullible person who has absolute faith in video would truly argue that this is real (the creator would too, I suppose).
You guys are seriously over-analyzing this. It's fake. The earth wouldn't just fall inward, it would have shifted.
Yes, I am totally over-analyzing this. But I'm also bored. And analyzing things is something I like to do. Maybe not necessarily good at, but I like to do it. It wastes time. And I'm still bored.
