So after YEARS of waiting, and the release date getting pushed back time after time, the new album, Chinese Democracy is going to be released on November 23rd. Anyone else here waiting for it? I don't know if it will be any good, none of the original members are back other than Axl Rose, and the fact that it kept getting pushed back makes me think that it wasn't good to start with. What do you all think?
I'm thinking this is in the wrong section. And I don't tend to like a band as much when it loses it's original line-up. It's kind of a nostalgia thing.
I listened to it and absolutely hated it... GnR can do so much better, and this is what you get for trying to modernize them...
I just want my free ------ing Dr. Pepper. Guns 'n Roses were ALWAYS boring and Slash is just your typical "fancy" guitarist. Meh. Give me my Dr. Pepper and I'm fine.
I saw them last year live, for the Chinese Democracy tour. Got tickets right up front, best seats in the place! Had back stage passes and all, and the whole band left early! I got to meet Sebastian Bach though! Awesome dude.. Anyway, back to the point =P Soon as they started playing their songs from Chinese Democracy.. The whole damn place went insanely quiet.. People stopped singing and chanting.. You could have heard a pin drop, literally, I dropped my beer and everyone turned around and stared at me it was that noticable.. And all you could hear how badly Axl's voice sounded.. He got really pissed off and stormed off after throwing the mic down.. The rest of the band looked completely lost and started talking to each other.. And then Bumblefoot and Robin started solo'ing over everyone screaming at the stage.. I guess he'll learn not to play all their classics first and then play the stuff no one knows =P So that being said, I really dont like the new album.. As burning Phoenix said, "GnR can do so much better, and this is what you get for trying to modernize them... "
Lol. Only 2 songs have been released, besides the leaks. And they are both good, especially Shackler's. Stop judging it before it's even released.
Yeah allthough i liked the old members more (Slash, Izzy, Duff, mike was cool aswell), but thats not going to stop me from going to the CD tour ( got tickets allready ) and buying there album.
Do you realize the irony in this? No, you most likely don't. Most people have already heard the whole album, albeit by leaks... So we have every right to judge it if we've heard the songs already. It's not like they'll change.
