Hands down, Dimebag (Rest his soul), is first on my list. After that, almighty Hendrix on second. Then most likely, Vai and Satch on a tie for third. Then Tak Matsumoto following closely on fourth. Jimmy page fifth, most definitely. And thennnnnnn, EVH on Sixth. Gotta have Eddie! =D
He was an ace song writer in general. Which is why I respect him. Playing the guitar also left handed with the strings in backwards order is also damn amazing. Sorry I pay attention to the legitimate songwriting over retarded guitar solos that a lot of the time like to prove no point but to show "OMFG HE'S SO AWESUM LYK OMG SLASH HE'S SO KULZ DESPITE THE ALBUM SUCKING ASS AND HIS GEETR TEKNIQUE NOTHIN NEW DIS GUY CAN SHRED LOLOLOLOLOL*FAPFAPFAP*". Hendrix was a near-perfect songwriter and talented guitarist. Which is why his albums were great to me, because of his songwriting, not solely his guitar work.
I hate a pet peeve against Slash. Lawl. He doesn't deserve the amount of attention that he receives, at all.
Fair enough lol. Though, cant hold it against the guy, just cause he looks cool (which is the only reason why all the fanboi'z and girls love him)
Okay, seriously. You say the crap guitarists from Green Day, crap guitarist from Bullet for my ------ing Valentine, REALLY crappy guitarist from Dragonforce (speed does NOT equal talent, sorry guys you fail), but yet, no Eddie Hazel? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dh3bleXWaCk ^ Watch.
