Aim Alternative

my aim had a bug or hack or something so i had to unistall it, i have trillian but dont like the lack of control over my aim preferences ect, and aim is the only one i use. I need to find an alternative im program that uses AIM. id perfer it to just deal with AIM, i dont use the other im programs

any suggestions ??
