I dont have any amazing pc, its a stock Compaq I got 2 years ago. It used to run DOD:S and CSS:S FINE, not perfect but playable with no lag. Now it cant play those games without some lag. RECENTLY I downloaded new drivers for my Integrated Nvidia graphics card off the nvidia site all the sudden, when I play CRAPPIER games then source, like CS 1.6, ITS LAGGY AS HELL. and its not the connection. and when i try to play source, its 500 times worst. whats the deal
I'm not sure where I could get them let alone the name of them, etc I'm not too fluent when it comes to graphics and computer parts and ----
Yea the thing I dont get though is when I first got this computer, DOD:S ran FINE. Not perfect but fine. It would take about 20 seconds for the game to run smooth but then I would have no problems. About 2 years later I reinstalled it and it lags all over the place. Doesnt make since. My crappy P3 can run CS 1.6 better then this computer.
Go into Control Panel then go into System, then Device Manager. Find where it lists your video card, and right click on it and select properties. Go into the driver tab and hit "Roll back drivers". It should revert back to the drivers you were using before you installed the new ones.
I would know because I was a n00b and use to buy my computers from stores. Back in the day, when you purchased a computer from a store, it had an integrated chip, and it use to suck ass. Also: 2 + 1 = >9000
Oh, back in the day. How far back? Last time I checked, integrated graphics are still common... very common. Hell, I own 3 PCs with integrated graphics. Two laptops and my server/HTPC.
