The idea is nice, and it does add depth, but the lines curve near his shoulder should be thicker. And perhaps try doing one where the line isn't transparant, that will add more depth imo

 

Yeah, make it thicker if it's closer, thinner if its further away.

 

looks good for your first pen tool good job, agreed with the top though

try stimulateing pressure and c if u like it that way
