Obama is not the antichrist, jeez. The bible also says that the antichrist wont come until a popular r&b female artist covers the numa numa song.

Well I think the whole idea is that the "Antichrist" is going to control everything. How that is going to happen don't ask me.

Also I thought that the accusation was absurd in the first place, but I always have to research information before I gossip. Similar to saying Obama is Musilm, a Terrorist, etc...

Too bad the Bible never states that the Anti-Christ would rule the world for 7 years. The 7 years of tribulation is Pentecostal bull----.

Though it does state that he will exercise his authority for 42 months.

Oh, I dropped my pen yesterday, does that count?

We can probably pass it off as interpretation or something, that usually works.

Why are we using the bible, torah, or Qur'an as a basis for rational and substantial information? Hasn't science proven against that already? Seriously folks, where outside devil may cry and spore with you find a 10 horned 7 headed man-leopard-dragon-lion-bear-pig?

Excuse me? Let me put this out there. If there is no God, why are we here? What is our purpose? If we came from pondscum, how did it get there? If we came from a big bang out in space, what caused the bang and how did it get there? If we evolved from monkeys, where did the monkeys come from?

No matter what you say, we can't be here due to evolution or natural selection or anything. Why? Because we would have no purpose to exist. The reason why we are here is because God put us here. He made everything. You ask, how then did God get there, where did He come from? The answer is simple: we do not know. He has not given us the understanding to comprehend something so beyond us. I guarantee 99% of you will come back with your theories and hate and what have you but think about it...we need a reason to be here and we need a way of being here. As far as I can tell, pondscum wasn't always around...someone had to create the pond.

Actually, the only thing science can't prove is how we got here, absolutely everything else from the time we got here is explainable through science, with actual studies, proof, millions of pages in research, people with extremely high caliber degrees being involved for most of their life in the study, etc.

That is the break point where most scientists admit to their being a higher power which created us, but that is the extent of their belief. The understanding that 'God put us here for a reason and that is to follow his will' is bullshit. Religious scriptures, written by humans, passed down through the ages and heavily modified in nearly every translation for the last 2000 years (this much just being christianity, there are many other, much older, much more translated and interpreted scriptures than your traditional christian scriptures).

Religion is an answer to all the common problems of man. Where will I go when I die? How should I live my life to be fulfilled? If I make a mistake, is there someone of a higher power to forgive me and help me down the path of righteousness? *Every* major religious scripture is the same thing with different names and slightly different variations on events (Noah's Ark is in every major religious scripture, but then feats about how Jesus apparently turned water into win, or fed those people with a few loaves of bread and a few fish, etc. are taken out in order to place greater emphasis on their personal God(s) ).

As an individual whom has read nearly every major world religions scripture provided it is in English, I can honestly state all the scriptures are the same. Couple of prophets here and there that predict very broad events that will occur after another broad event triggered by another broad event exactly like the example I gave on the first page about one person in 220,000 dropping a pencil or pen one time within a 24 hour period. Toss in a god, or an individual worthy of worship, or worthy of being considered an ideal individual (such as Buddha) providing ways to live your life. To top it off, make there be some form of divine retribution for your wrong doings, whether it be through meditation, saying you're sorry, working your butt off in life in the name of your god or your family, or your dog, etc.

I restate my first quote from Karl Marx on page 3 of the President Obama thread - "Die Religion... ist das Opium des Volkes" (Religion is opiate of the masses). Without man, there is no religion, and without proof of god (and there is none outside the beginning of us, which doesn't make any religion correct, it simply shows there *could* be something greater than us, or simply we don't have the technology to explain it yet) there is no basis for religion. People made it up, and people try to keep it secret. If you want further proof of this, get your hands on an old english version of the christian bible (something dated around the ~1600s). My mother personally inherited one from my grandpa who got it during WWII in Europe. Read it and interpret it and then compare it to today's modern NIV version of the Christian bible, the details change, the flawed situations become more and more detailed and less broad, etc.

Sorry, but religion is a fluke, and no single religion is correct, the most intelligent thing to do is to indulge yourself in studying all religions to see the facts they all have in common (as I said, Noah's Ark) and come up with your own personal belief if you are really so dependent on a scripture of man, you have a right to know whats crap and what isn't when it comes to the world religions.
