Very nice, some more efx would be nice, and the smudgings not very subtle.

Remove the scan lines, or place them in only a few spots just so it adds a subtle effect

Improve text or remove it, for now it looks slapped on

Eew scan lines. But aside from that.. the sig lacks depth, a focus point, color differentiation, and lighting effects, and i agree with AP that the text looks slapped on.

Not trying to come off as a douche, just offering some constructive criticism. I know you're used to the 2005-esque styles,so it'll take practice. Just trying to help out :)

EDIT: As for text tips, i'd suggest adding a title of some kind. It's hard to be creative with a single line of text, whereas with multiple lines you can alter placement.

Edited that last post with a text tip, as well. Text blending often helps, too.. by putting the text below a few layers (gradient maps, color balance, perhaps a smudge layer or two), it looks like it belongs there.

I used to hate text, loving it in my recent work though. It adds that extra bit of awesome ;)

Try using a small font, make it subtle, for now, just go with that.

This is quite a bland tag and is really lacking coloring and composition.

The smudging is exactly the same throughout the tag, try using different brushes and sizes.

its good i think if you took the scanlines off the render and fixed the text it would be better also try and add depth :)

Round brush smudge and scanlines. That's not a new style. XD XD XD

Pretty good. I like scanlines if used properly.
