ok, so i heard this can increase CPU speed, at the cost of possible overheating. how can i do it? i want to see if it overheats too much or not. it's a Pentium4 2.80 GHZ, by the way. thanks in advance
OR you could google it. Will take you 1/4 of the time to do that than ask here where, quite frankly, you won't get anywhere near as good answers as on dedicated tech forums. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q...earch&meta=
I tried it and man I got to say my computer goes twice as fast now! I was running a 1.8 ghz and now it is a 3.6 ghz stable. Thanks! Zain.
overheating isn't an issue so much as electromigration. also what motherboard do you have? CPU overclocking is done by increasing the system's bus speed since the CPU runs at a multiple of the bus's speed ALSO READ THE PINNED THREADS this very matter is up there.
Anytime. Oh and speaking of which, dye your grass black. It will assume it's emo and cut itself. Makes life so much easier.
Actually, every ----- overclockers knows CPUs go faster the cooler it is, so just keep your fridge door open and you should get some good performance increases. Better yet, move to Alaska.
theres some awesome options there for you and I'm sure you have ordered some red paint already ! However if not try this programme http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=189
no no no. thats only for cars. on computers, red only makes the computer hotter. blue LEDs make ur computer go faster.
press del when your comp loads up. it'll load up your diagnostics window. here you can change your cpu clocking rate.
I wouldn't recommend using clockgen unless you've really done your research. At least learn to do a CMOS reset first.
