Im sure a lot of people could care less about this, but someone sent me this in an email and I wrote about it so I decided to make a thread... There are many reports on the news and other media about obama being accused of being the "Antichrist". Not only have people heard this, I and many others have received emails that supposedly support this accusation. Here is what one of the emails say: Fortunately for many who believe this, there is a problem... this email has little to no truth to it. The bible actually doesn't describe race or age as the Antichrist, it doesn't even describe religion. As a matter of fact the Muslim Religion was not even started until roughly 500 years later than the book of Revelations was written. This is what the bible says about the "Antichrist" or "Beast". *For the full writing click here Actually the word Antichrist doesn't even appear in the book of Revelations. It appears 4 times in the bible which is in 1st John and 2nd John. Here is the 4 sentences in which it appears. Many leaders have been criticized over many years of being the "Antichrist", which all have been theories with no truth. Here is the list of people that have been thought of as the Antichrist, I provided links for you to see all the people and sites that believe this. Ronald Wilson Reagan Dedicated theory site Youtube video Another theory site Goerge W. Bush Pope fearing Bush as Antichrist Discussion theory Google links Hitler and Stalin Hitler and Stalin many years ago have been thought to be the Antichrist. Obviously they were not unless you consider them the Antichrist from the millions of people they killed. Stalin was considered the 1st Antichrist and Hitler was considered the 2nd. I can't find any sources of them being called the Antichrist though im sure you can find someone from the 1940's that can remember. Bill Gates Urban legend email Dedicated conspiracy theory Another conspiracy theory Multiple Popes Benedict XVI John Paul II Google website list David Ben-Gurion Dedicated discussion blog Conclusion: FALSE - There is no evidence whatsoever that proves Obama or any other leader of being the Antichrist. If you disagree with a candidate for his known policies, judgment, etc... it is one thing, but if you decide to slander the person or gossip it is not only wrong for false accusations, but also known in the bible as a sin. (Note im not a christian, this was written for all those which are and send this crap around) My blog I posted it on - http://rumortruths.blogspot.com/
Wow man, for not being a Christian, you took this presentation pretty well and remained pretty darn objective. I'm impressed. Especially considering my previous experience with members on here... You're also right. The Bible says nothing of what that email speaks of. I grew up in church and go a couple times a week. I've read the book of revelation a few times and done some research on stuff like this. The Bible is extremely unclear on this subject, and so I don't believe it to be one that people should focus on. I don't understand why people have to spread such slander or mislead people like this, but it's pretty stupid. I just wish people wouldn't fall for it. Would like to look at the links you provided, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. So you've now gotten from both a Christian and non-Christian's view the exact same conclusion. That email is phony and crap. If you ever receive this email, send .jrauck's post back to them.
Anyone else notice that predictions in the bible are always non-specific and very broad. I predict... SOMEONE ON THIS SITE... will drop their pen or pencil tomorrow between the hours of 12:00am and 11:59pm. If this comes true I am clearly a prophet, and you all should bow down and worship the very ground I walk on. I may even write a bullshit 750 page book on how awesome I am and create false quotes to gain your trust... then I think I will call it a religion.
I think the world getting hit by a giant radioactive penis is more likely than Obama being the Antichrist, or for an Antichrist to even exist for that matter. ------ing froot loopies.
other things are supposed to happen first, so while obama certainely fulfills a fair number of criteria, I highly doubt it.
It's actually impossible for the Antichrist to have come. OK. Here's my logic: 1. The Antichrist will be hailed by the Jews as the Messiah. 2. In Judaism, the Messiah can only come into this world through the Temple in Jerusalem (which has been destroyed since the early A.D. years). 3. Construction on the Temple can only begin when all of the workers have been cleansed by a paste made from the bones of a perfectly red heifer that has been alive for four years. 4. No such heifer exists. The red heifer hasn't been found yet, so not even construction has begun (ironically, it is now where the Dome of the Rock stands), so no one alive today could be the Antichrist. On top of this, many scholars now think that the whole apocalypse bit is a brilliantly disguised allegory for the then-current social situation. Remember that Jesus and his followers were not only fighting for their religious beliefs, but that they were also fighting for the Israelites (against the Romans). For this reason, many think that the seven-headed dragon is actually representative of Rome (which was built on seven hills). Note that it is given dominion over "all of the tribes".
Why are you people starting this ---- already? I mean seriously, a guy can't come into office without some role of a fairly incorrect texts of an old book coming into play. Until I see him performing miracles then you can call him the Antichrist. But even that probably won't happen so lay off. I hate topics like these cause all they do is spread bull---- like a wildfire.
You do understand that that book of Revelation is all metaphorical and talks about regular Christians, right? This is so pathetic I don't even want to bother to challenge your stupidity. Seriously.
I would like to add to all of this that Obama does not have the power to assume an "antichrist" position in the United States. Our government, although not the best, was created with problems like this in mind. Obama does not rule the United States, as Congress rules over the President in most cases, and the idea that Obama would even be considered a figure like the antichrist is simply outrageous and stupid.
Wait, wasn't the original post arguing agaisnt Obama being the Antichrist? I don't understand your argument, Pink, or yours, falcon.
The fact that Obama was even considered by ANY person to be the antichrist is stupid, and AP obviously thinks so too. Obama just got into office and people are already finding ways to degrade him.
My argument is just in general. I know there's bound to be at least one person who will come in here calling Obama the Antichrist.
It claims that the Anti-Christ will come from the North, above Israel. Hawaii is a bit South East of Israel...
