School was fun today, all the Obama fans were yelling and cheering for him. Didn't want him in, but, we'll see how he is when he is in office.

Just a bunch of racists who don't want to believe someone other than a white individual has become our president.

Notice how most of the states McCain won were redneck / out back states (Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, Utah, Louisiana, Arkansas, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, West Virginia, South Carolina, Alabama and Alaska)? Most of these states have a voting history of ONLY republican. Wanna know what other major organization is popular in all of the above states? The KKK and other racist activist groups.

Notice how most of the industrialized states voted for Obama, or was that not clear enough by the outstanding 346-162 (52/46% votes) win (which, btw, is one of the biggest land slides in presidential history)?

The only people who disagreed with Obama didn't care for the color of his skin, or are already so conservative that the only person they can vote for is a republican, or they simply cannot adjust to chance (which seems to be a HUGE one here in the states).

Biased... let me reiterate: untruthful. They lie. Fox lies in the favor of republicans, cnn lies in the favor of the democrats. I don't care who they're lying for, I don't want lies. I want pure truth. The news won't give that anymore. And, excuse me, but I've studied media literacy. I know how much the news uses different forms of media to move us in whatever way they want. I'm not some fool who follows whatever they hear.

Everyone is biased. You're biased. I'm biased. Your neighbor is biased. There's no such thing as an objective opinion because that itself is an oxymoron. An opinion is a personal belief: it cannot be unbiased. I try and be as objective as possible on here, but you guys never let me (see Dementia's post).

So anyone who voted McCain is racist? Gee, thanks. I guess that I can't hang out with my black friends anymore. Darn, especially since one of them is planning an event at Lloyd Center in December with me. It seems Josh will have to find a new photographer/planner. I'll have to let him know that it's because of my newly discovered racist views. People online are never wrong, after all.

I could care less that Obama is black. When he was first campaigning, I would have voted for him. I don't agree with how he wants to spend money and don't think it will be good for this nation.

I'll be honest, I voted for McCain and I am a little disappointed in the results. Truthfully though, I have absolutely no problem with educated voters and their decisions, but it is those who have no thoughts on the beliefs of the candidates that I hate to see swing such an important elections. Four examples that I have heard within my own group of friends who voted for Obama:

    1. "My girlfriend voted for him."
    2. "Because he's black." (From a black friend of mine, little disappointing.)
    3. "He speaks well, McCain just sounds stupid when he talks." (Well its one to sound like you know what you're talking about, it's another to know what you're talking about.O)
    4. "We've had a republican for 8 years, we need a democrat."

Now after results were in last night, I explained to my roommates why I had voted for McCain (two of these came from them) and the one wishes he had voted otherwise now. Anyways, I agree with Obama on Social Security and am split on Healthcare stances, but Obama's plans for schooling and his stance on energy are just plain idiotic.

My thoughts, take them as you will.

That was a bit racist in its own right. My God don't sterotype without experience. I've lived in West Virginia all my life and I attend WVU and WV is what those of us who live here like to call "America's best kept secret." I've been around a bit and I've never found a place I'd rather live than here. As for the rest opf those states, look at them the same way.

I also think it's funny people call us (McCain supporters) racist. How come he got 90% of the black vote? My teacher said "I hope those 90% of blacks didn't vote for him by his skin," I was like, yeah right, of course they did. There's no way he got 90% of the black vote because of his policies, he got it from the color of his skin.

do you live where wolves are? they eat everything they see. sure they are cool animals to look at and sound cool but there used to be a huge elk herds in yellowstone park and you would see several thousands if you went back in there on horseback, away from roads, but now you go back in there since wolves have grown in numbers and there is very few elk (compared to what it used to be) where there should be or anywhere else.

yeah, arial hunting probably isnt the best way to hunt the wolves but i think its better than not hunting them at all.

population control of animals becomes necessary when mankind disrupts the ecosystem.

we have to hunt some deer or all of them will die.

we have to hunt some wolves or all of them will die.

Allowing wolves to be introduced back into Yellowstone has only had positive effects on the environment. Because there were huge elk herds in Yellowstone, and because they had no predators, they would not have any motivation or need to move from the river bays, and all young and new vegetation never had a chance to grow, and plants never re-grew because they were simply eaten before they had the chance. Since elk herd population was reduced to what it should be, river bays are far healthier than they were, and the population of the animals that live there has also gone up vastly. Some species such as the songbird have even returned.

You need a predator in the community to keep the population stable, without one, the population increase and decrease is very fast and very abrupt.

Because elk herds were so large, they basically would eat all vegetation, then, because of the lack of food, large amounts of elk would die of starvation.

    I never said I wasn't racist.

Also, for the record, thats not racist, that prejudice, and yes, I hate rednecks. They are disgrace to the majority of this country and their opinions mean squat to me (no, this doesn't mean farmer rednecks, this means trailer trash rednecks, found ALL over those states I mentioned). Also, you live in one of those states, which makes it understandable why you would defend some of them, but take a step back and look at reality. For the record, stereotypes are used often because in *general* (in case you don't know what that means, it means more often than not) it's true. Notice I said *most* and not all. Texas is far from redneck ville in the traditional sense (sure, in the farmers sense, not in the i live in a trailer with my wife and 15 kids drinking beer all day while my wife does the work sense). Nothing I said in that last post was incorrect, the only parts not factual were opinionated which isn't able to be incorrect or correct as its based on personal views.

For the record, I did just help vote a black man into office, how generically racist can I be? I openly admit to trying not to socialize with black people, I certainly will never date a black person, and I have no attraction to black individuals in a romantic, physical or emotional level (this concerns friendships), yet I voted for Obama because he is clearly the choice out of the two (especially with the current government structure and McCain's running mate).

ALSO... for the record... I never stated anyone was specifically racist, I provided 3 options there, and 95% of the people you talk to will fall into one of those 3 categories. Hardcore republicans, racists, or people who have issues adjusting to change.

The fact that an overwhelming amount of minorities are poor and live in poverty alone is justification enough to vote for Obama, he promised to change that. An overwhelming amount of whites, hispanics, islanders, etc. also voted for Obama. I am not saying *some* didn't vote because he's black, as obviously they did, much in the same fashion Arizona voters voted for McCain because it is his home state (for a while Arizona was actually undecided, and it would have been really sad if Arizona voted in Barack's favor over McCain).
