I don't watch national news. I research things that interest me from several different sources. National news is too biased and opinionated and is more entertainment than news.

His (former) pastor is not a friend of God. That is what a Christian is. I have heard excerpts of his sermons, which may or may not portray him accurately, but still give me a very bad feeling and tell me that this man is preaching the good news of America (or is it bad? I believe he was damning America at one point).

Obama has not given himself over to the Lord. That's something that was obvious in his campaign. Besides, if he had, all the Christian sites and my Christian leaders would have endorsed him. None did. Therefore I stand by my findings. It doesn't really matter to you though, now does it?

I will stand with him as a Christian. The Bible directs us to pray for and edify our leaders, and that I shall do. It matters not who won, I'll pray for either just as fervently. I simply wish that McCain won. And, since you brought up Christianity first: the Lord's will shall be done, and it was His will that Obama won this election. That doesn't mean he'll be an awesome president, but it means that everything is in God's control.

Now, last time faith and I came into the picture, a huge argument broke out. So let's just leave it where it is.

    whoops, gotta go.

I haven't watched anything on TV in over 2 years except the superbowl. I watch recorded speeches online and tv shows and movies, screw commercials.

I know his entire economic plan, and I support it. I can't stand McCain, in the same way I can't stand most republicans, especailly republicans when exactly what the nation needs is *change*, which is not a republican trait.

Every democratic president in history has provided *change* in some way, shape or form. Nearly every republican just sits on what is currently happening and maybe improves on that a little bit. At the current time, in the middle of a global economic crysis thanks to the US, we need to change what is going on, because its obviously not beneficial to us or the world, and by McCain's speeches he certainly had no plans to change what Bush started, and I am not going through another 8 years of Bush politics. Not to mention the statistics have shown that McCain had a 34% chance of dying within his first term, the odds dramatically improved if he was elected a second term, and I *really* do not want that dumb ----- Palin being out president. Obama is very radical, and he will bring change, hes also a minority and obviously the first black in the history of the US to be elected as president. In the event of an assassination (which I doubt will happen) Biden will replace him. While not exactly the ideal person, he is thousands of leagues ahead of Palin.

While intended to be humorous, this is also quite true about Palin - http://s.buzzfeed.com/static/imagebuzz/200...72c88ead4aa.jpg

And no, Saint, you brought it up, learn to keep your religion out of things if you don't want to be confronted about it, or are you not strong enough to defend your own religion? He has been raised on christian morals, he is currently an avid church goer, and he believes in christian beliefs. Who are you to judge who is a friend or not of God? Passing judgement, theres something about that in the scriptures isn't there... yup. You sure have been blessed by a divine being to be of complete and utter perfection so that you may toss the first stone and condemn someone as being a non believer and essentially saying they should go to hell. You are such a hypocrite. You try so hard to behave by the scripture that you defy it like nearly every hardcore christian does. Stop trying so hard to further your beliefs in a religion which was made for the sole sake of being the easy way out (all other religions at the time required you do something, live a proper life, etc. only christianity involves believing in the holy trinity and asking for forgiveness which is granted).

Die Religion... ist das Opium des Volkes (Religion is the opiate of the masses)
    - Karl Marx 1843

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

    Thus why he was elected.

A combo breaker is inevitable. If a combo is successfully completed, it is gay.

    Affirmative Action strikes again. :P

I didn't really care who won, which is why I didn't even bother to vote. I knew regardless of who I voted for, Obama was going to win. He had all the publicity. Either one of them would have done a fine job, but I aint giving my money to the lower class! ;)

interesting thing i've noticed: people keep referring to "lower classes" as if they're a different type of american, with no morals, laziness, etc.

that's hardly the case. for a lot of people, one major health emergency or a lost job is the only thing separating their self-sufficiency from public assistance. it's not a matter of morals, or work ethic. and with so many folks over-extended and living so close to the edge, it's surprising where all this condemnation is coming from.

if you're a small business owner and you get into a car accident or get cancer, the medical bills and lost time will kill your small business. was it your fault? did you not work hard enough? were you not virtuous enough to escape bad luck? and yet there's this prevailing view that when things like this DO happen, and when that small business owner falls below the poverty line, he or she immediately becomes some lazy, good-for-nothing slob.

it's a pretty fundamental difference between conservatives and progressives: the conservatives believe that somehow, the poor deserve to be that way. they wouldn't be poor if it wasn't their own fault. progressives acknowledge that bad circumstances can put a lot of people under financial stress, and in a system that forces folks close to the breaking point, you can be devastated very easily.

Well, Black people have officially lost the racist card, no longer will they be able to blame everything people do on them being black, because lo and behold, the president is black.

I'm not sure if I approve of Obama, I doubt he will drive the country into the ground but I don't agree with his views that seem to be leading into socialism.

Hoorah! phew.. Obama got in :P
Personally, I don't know a single person outside of america who liked McCain...

I'm sorry, but I must address those people who support Palin. She is a cruel person, who supports the arial hunting of wolves as sport. FOR NO GOOD REASON I might add. She also has absolutely no ----ing clue about foreign policy.

About the sensless murder of helpless animals:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQobIUE1zTU

Sarah Palin has no clue about foreign policy (as shown in this prank call)(this also confirms her love of hunting):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzII2XhDo14

The party confirmed the prank call to be true. (I know, I didn't believe it at first either... but they confirmed it...):

And finaly.. for those who like McCain. He lied and distorted the truth in his campaign adds:

So yeah.. I'm happy Obama got in :P

Congrats Obama. Now we get to find out if he is an United States citizen before Dec 21. Which I am sure will be falsified. All bow to the new Kenyan leader.

I am actually glad Obama won. Even though he really might not be an American citizen, I prefer Obama over McCain.
