My only recommendations are that you sharpen your subjects a bit in the first few and put your url in less annoying places. Kinda draws away from the rest of the photo imo. "Fall is Here" has to be my favorite. I like the way the blue and orange contrast, and it kinda makes me less happy about the fact that all we have here in San Antonio are oaks, and they don't really turn orange or brown or anything, so everything is still pretty much green here.
Ah, some of the lack of sharpness is related to the fact that dA is resizing those for me from a huge size (I do that so I can download them myself from other computers if I leave my card somewhere... yeah, I'm lame). If I sharpened two of the ones you recommended, I would have increased the noise a bit too much too. I can notice the noise even without the sharpening. I dunno. I don't know all the cool sharpening techniques, I just know about the unsharp mask >.<. If you have any good places for me to look up sharpening techniques, I would love to improve . As it is, my teacher doesn't know too many right now. And the last one is my favorite too
Yeah I usually use Unsharp Mask myself. My friend has some filters that do it for him and another friend has his own special method of doing it. I might have to ask him about it.
Should ask . And tell your friend that every image needs a different amount of sharpening; using a set filter could either mean that you could sharpen further, or you need to sharpen less... Unless said filter detect it for you... but I'd still do it manually.
