my guess would be your video card is the problem it is a few years old. You can try updating your drivers for it. What are the minimum specs to run COD5?

Yeah, im trying to update everything atm.

    HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:

Microsoft® Windows® XP or Windows Vista® (Windows 95/98/ME/2000 are unsupported)

    CPU: Intel® Pentium® 4 3.0 GHz or AMD® Athlon™ 64 3200+ processor or better supported

RAM: 512MB RAM (1GB for Windows Vista)

    VIDEO CARD: 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 6600GT or better or ATI Radeon™ 1600XT or better

SOUND CARD: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

HDD SPACE: 1.5GB of free hard drive space

HOSTING: To host Multiplayer matches, a 2Ghz dual-core or better processor is recommended.

INTERNET: Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity

In order for the game to run, Windows Vista users will need to install the update for DirectX 9.0c available at http://www.microsoft.com

This is necessary even if DirectX 10 is installed.

yea id say the same Video Card Memory 256.00 MB for me cod 1 runs
at only 40-50fps never mind cod5......

might also be having shader problems,

as has been said, update your firmware might help a little.

It's not so much the age, more so just the fact it's just Intel onboard, AKA, POS.
