    Aw =(

In all seriousness, the online play seems to be one of the best parts of this game. Just seeing a little orb float around: "Oh, hi... Jim!"

    *Jim torches world*

    "Oh no!"

Thank god they have the safety features =D

Oh and retard I forgot to mention; since you liked Fable so much you should know homosexual relationships are allowed considering they were in the first.
So I doubt you've even played tbh.

On topic, so far it's awesome. I just picked up the LE today.

I have never played the first one, and my friend pumped me up for this one because he loved the first one but it looks retarded. Compared to any good western RPGs, this certainly falls short. The expression thing is stupid and the decisions you make don't actually effect the game all that much. Time to go buy Far Cry 2....

    DO NOT BESMIRCH FABLE 2.
How on earth can you judge a game you've never played?

Well, I've completed Fable 1 sort of, 10 times now, with every combination of 'class'.
I love how you're saying this falls short compared to Western RPGs, like, what? Fable 1 was one of the best RPGs of it's time and Fable 2 is better in every single way.

Heck, I'm yet to play an RPG I like more then Fable 1, to this day. (Including Final Fantasy)

    Anyways

    TWO DAYS FOR UK :D

Western RPGs = Mass Effect, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Knight of the Old Republic. BioWare and Bethesda stuff mostly.

I see that you have a gamerscore of 1000 in oblivion. Seeing that, I know you have probably seen about 75%+ of what the game offers to it's players (unless you used walkthroughs). Oblivion set the marker for open-world, player interactions and massive content. Mass Effect added forked story-lines (you should play it) that allowed a player's decisions to have huge effects on the game's story. Fable 2 from what I have seen so far, and heard, falls short in both these categories. It is out-dated, the developers took too long on it. I am sure it is probably a good or great game. But with games advancing every year, the expectations are higher. Playing Fable 2 after Oblivion, Mass Effect or Fallout 3 (when it comes out) is like playing Call of Duty 2 after Call of Duty 4. It may be a good game, but it's out-dated.

I have seen more of the gameplay than you probably have. There is no need for the language, buddy.

    Old gamer-account.
    New one.

But aye, I was a huge fan of Oblivion, open-ended gameplay at it's best. 1000 gamer-score, of course I didn't touch a walk-through + I've done nearly everything I can find. Mass Effect however is vastly over-rated, good game but space exploration wasn't nearly as good as it could have been and the combat was messy. Don't get me wrong it was well done but it's not in the same league as Oblivion. How on earth does developing a game for a long time make it out-dated though? Fable 1 wouldn't be out-dated in our games, aside from graphics and small features nevermind Fable 2.

PS : Oblivion took basically the same length of time to develop as Fable 2 has.

PPS : I've completed Mass Effect.

PPPS : Fable 2 is packed with far more features, and heck, bigger (good) areas to explore then Mass Effect was which barely rewarded going onto a random poorly designed planet.

PPPPS : As much as I was looking forward to Fallout 3, I cancelled my Pre-Order so I could get Fable 2 + Mirror's Edge.

    Not quite true.
In that the main reason I'm putting off Fallout 3 is because I'm not looking forward to it as much as the other two. I accept it will be a great game, and I will definetely be getting hold of it just, not quite so excited as I was.

I don't think Fable 2 has had it's ideas surpassed, I think it has different ideas, it's a much more socially based game then Oblivion, and even Mass Effect was. It's just an entirely different style of RPG, it's packed with features that other games don't touch upon, little details like having to wear protection, the way that when you get beat up it has a permament effect on your character via scars etc. (never done properly before) and the co-op system is going to be fantastic.

    Meh. ^^

Papermache...shut the fuck up. You can't judge something based on videos you've seen. You can base an opinion about what you see, but they aren't showing everything in the game. So all in all you sound pretty ignorant. As far Mass Effect and Oblivion go; they are both excellent games. With Oblivion most of the choices you make have little effect upon the story or none at all. Mass Effect is the same way with the exceptions to a few. Fable II on the other hand, everything thing you do effects the world and effects you one way or another. With Oblivion you can kill civilians and you can pay a fine or go to jail and everything is back to normal. Mass Effect you can't even do things like that. Fable you can and it shows through the way you look and how the NPCs around you react IE run away cause they're scared. So stop being a retard and leave the thread since a game you've never played is too 'outdated'.

I bought the game yesterday, and it is hella fun. I only played for an hour (damn fake education), and I'm enjoying it a crap load.

Controls are good, I was a little lost at first because I didn't play Fable on the Xbox. The dialogue throughout is freakin' great with british accents and silly talk. I haven't gotten too far in the story so I can't say much about it. But it does sound really cool. The special effects when you throw a fireball at someone is freakin' beautiful and the aiming is very simple.

And the dog is awesome, playing catch with him is entertaining.

Fable II, great game overall. But some people who don't really do the RPG scene should rent it for a week before a possibility of buying it.
