Exactly why I decided to buy Guild Wars instead of it. After the insanely addictive WoW that took a fair amount of effort to quit, I don't want to be held down by another game in the same way anymore. See you in 3 years then Draven =p

I actually wasn't, strangely. There's been short periods of time where I had an urge and to add insult to injury, WotlK actually comes out on my birthday. But. Last say, 4 weeks I spent on WoW (Bearing in mind I was in a very far progressed guild too) I just had no desire to play, couldn't bare to touch it and the fact is when you're addicted to a game it pulls on your other appointments, including having a social life. I'm happier without WoW. =p PS : That and I actually got a WotlK Beta Invite, went on, rolled a DK to...what, 59, got my Rogue into Northrend then quit, got bored and didn't touch it again. WotlK is BC but it looks different. PPS : I am slightly considering picking WaR up though, considering I've got ------ all to do during mid-day until people come out at night. Was planning to buy it, know what I'm rolling etc. (Chaos Chosen). Not sure how it works but is there servers that you choose Draven? If so, tell me where you are and if I come on I'll see ya. ^^
When you have sat through Blizzards BS for 3 years, the temptation of WoW goes down the drain drastically. Their class development team has their heads so far up their arses its not even funny. They can't 'balance' the game around 1v1 rock paper scissors like they initially tried, and they are trying to make it a super competitive e-sport and as such they go through periods of 3-6 months leaving one class or group of classes super powerful and some other classes completely underpowered, then they change all of the game mechanics in a single patch to get you to reroll, etc. Its complete and utter BS, and its the only reason I have all classes minus Druid and Shaman at level 70 on my account. Broken no longer has an account, and the sole reason I even intend to try WotLK is to beat it and play a death knight because no other games remotely comparable are out at the moment. Guld Wars is too casual and Warhammer is too unpolished. The only thing I really like about Warhammer is that you can gain experience via killing players. Outside of that, its basically WoW with poorer graphics, less storyline, more PvP, and the same grind. Why would I pick that game up when I have a WoW account that competes with the best of the best already?
Along with, the addiction, that's partly why I quit too. (What Dem said). I've always played a 'Pure' class in WoW. IE My first 60, and 70 was a Mage. Then among other things, a Rogue has been my major main for the past year or so, and as I said I got preety far content-wise (Mid-SP). However, when other classes such as warriors, druids, paladins (Ok, not paladins), Priests, Shamans etc. actually have a chance of beating you in damage, assuming same skill/equipment then the game needs looking over. I fully accept that hybrid classes need the ability to do damage otherwise they just wouldn't be able to level/grind/do quests, however, it is in no way fair that a Druid/Shaman can keep it's DPS up with a Rogue/Mage, in that we don't have the ability to heal, or tank, or anything else. PURE DPS Classes should always be the top DPS Classes regardless, and it's pathetic that Blizzard still haven't grasped it. 2 Solutions, make the 'Pure' DPS classes the top again, always. Or give Rogues plate. But as Dem said, I don't have an account anymore, though I loved WoW it really was just a time-sink and after being banned from the Blizzard forums for something trivial it was really pushing it. It's a fine game, the company behind it isn't.
not the best fan of WoW i played a pserver didnt like it that much, my friend got addicted to this im just not into games u have to pay monthly for :S
as a WOW player since the beginning... well i got bored ----less with wow. same old crap over and over... If ur 12 years old and retarded play wow. If u want a game of unlimited depth, complexity, and STILL decent graphics and gameplay then go with war. Yes its unpolished... but it still kicks the ---- out of the button mashing ---- of wow. 22 chosen, darklands.
Anyone who says Wow was polished on Beta or release NEVER played Beta or bought the game when it was released. Nor have they payed attention every major patch when one decently powered class gets the shaft and a new one gets a buff. Shamans once ruled the battlefield
