you will need a lot of text work you can hardly see it

you will also need some blending work for your render its just thrown on there

and the background although its the same color it doesnt fit to be honest

keep up the work read some tuts and you will get better

Ditch the text and it's sweet.

    Sweet? LOL

It needs a lot of work, but that's expected considering you're just starting out. We all started somewhere, we all made our fair share of crappy tags. My suggestion to you would be to get familiar with ALL the tools of PS. Experiemnt with as much as you possibly can, and read as many tutorials as you can. With each tutorial you read, you will learn more and more techniques that will become useful to you and then you'll get to the point where you start using your own techniques, building off ones you have learned.

to be honest, I didnt even know there was text until i read the other posts about the text. so thats one thing you should work on. I like the texture of the bg but, you gotta try and do a little more with it. go get your self some brushes and mess around with em

    Idiot.
    Mantis was right.

    So.
Original topic poster, ignore inverse, it's not going to be "Sweet" regardless of what you do to it. But it's to be expected, you're new to photoshop + it takes time. Like people have said, read tutorials and just get a lot of practice in messing around and getting used to the different photoshop tools.

Get hold of some resources and start using C4D Effect Renders, it'll lead to a far better looking sig for relatively little effort and while it might be an ex-trend-whored style etc. at least you're getting practice while you're making something that's relatively ok.

text to hard to read take it a level lighter and try and use some effects on your background so it isnt the same pattern i would like to see different things in backgrounds but overall its a great try for your first just read some tuts and you will make some nice sigs sooner or later
