Halloween Or Thanks-giving?

First of all, I know that I am not the Co-Leader anymore (Pulsy Wulsy is) and because of that I can't boss your lazy wutts around all the time (though you guys won't mind would ya? :mellow:..)

Anyhow..moving on.

Remember when AG Released the Free AG Ultimate Resource Pack? on 4th of July? Well I was just thinking why don't we do something similar for either Halloween or ThanksGiving? ONLY ONE because two would be too big of a hassle.

We can call it something in the lanes of AG Hallows' Darkness Pack or AG's Turkey Dinner ... I dunno you guys come up with the names if Rena Approves this sort of idea (again..).

It will be similar to what we did for 4th of July, 08. But the catch will be that everything inside the pack would have to be connected to either of the two holidays. Lets say we do Halloween so everything inside the pack would have to be based around dead, death, skeletons, darkness, red and black colours, and other sort of things that go well with the Halloween's idea. And a similar thing for Thanksgiving except we will be having to do with family gathering, turkey or .. i don't know..but I do like Halloween better than TGiving.

I am not credit hungry but as Draven said that he and the other Admins are trying to get rid of Credits on GR so how about we sell this pack to the Community for a low price (it can be decided later onwards) and then place all the credits in an account and tell the Admins to get rid of the Credits? something like so to help out the Admins and Community. If you guys are credit hungry <_< then we can keep the credits and use it to buy stuff for ourselves as a crew and whatever is left we tell Drave to take care of that... Something in the similar lanes as that.

This will be a great way for AG Newcomers to share some of their resources with the community being an AG Member :lol:...oh and yes you will be credited for everything B)

I just remember the last time we did this there wasn't much of a responce. Most of the replies in the topics were either from AG members or a few people saying "yea thanks".

Maybe we should take a poll in the Off Topic section and see how the community feels about it.

If we were to do a resource pack, I think we should include stock images.

When I say stock images, I mean photographs that WE took. So basically they will be completely new and never released before.

Maybe also include some web templates, video tutorials, etc.

Like try to include as much in it as possible. And releasing it as a torrent would be the best idea too IMO.

but im fecked for the theme
i currently dont have photoshop the now so i cant contribute any new psd's to do with the theme
although id gladly give away some of my recent psd's
and do it as halloween as us brits dont have thanksgiving.

 

I know how Jay and others can behave. So it was a good thinking for closing the topic.

I am up for the idea but we still have to decide whether or not it will be free or sold for credits? I like the credits idea in my opinion as it will help us in the future as well. For the credits idea I will make a new account on GR and host the thread with that account so people can send the credits to that account if we go ahead with that idea. I am up for it!

As for the .psd files, I can make some .psd's but someone here has to upload some Halloween stocks to their Photobucket Album as I dunno which ones to pick from.

The part of us getting stocks, if you guys can take pictures on Halloween Night and post them up as stocks I will clearly include that in the pack. (Then the pack will be released the following Monday as I need to be in school to upload stuff for faster speeds like 1.6MB/sec uploads )

Giving it as a torrent, we can probably decide for that later on as I am still a meh on that one but the idea does sound good
