Sigh.. Seems this computer is finally going dead..

The monitor keeps screwing up, like it starts shaking and the resolution goes off balance. I have to tap the monitor of move it up or down to fix it temporarily until it starts again.. I have a laptop but gosh I hate them so much and I really don't want to have to resort to that.

But also I've been getting this random error, maybe this has caused the monitor to flicker. Sometimes my computer freezes, then it reboots itself, when I log back into Windows it tells me about an error with Drivers and something having to do with graphics. So idk

well it does sound like the monitor is about to die. Have recently updated your video drivers? If not maybe try updating them

    LCD or CRT?

Most CRT Monitors cannot handle the new drivers as they do not have that much capacity in them.

If it is an LCD and it is over 2 years or more old I don't know maybe for that one you might have to update your video drivers. If it is nVidia / ATi then go to their website and update them asap. It is the only way it will work..

How old is your CPU? There shouldn't be any problem with the cpu if you have to tap the monitor to get it to not do the squiggle things.
Check the Monitor Connection maybe? See if it is loose at the back of the monitor.

sounds like a dying CRT. lower end models tend to do that over time it happens. just get it replaced when you have an opportunity.

Yep, does sound typical of a dying tube. Buy yourself an LCD. They're cheap as **** these days.
