    K, I got a problem

I'm on my laptop right now and I can't connect to the wireless network for some reason >_>

I'm using a cable right now to get on but I want to fix this problem.

My sister is also using a laptop and she's connected through wireless...but I can't. Weird

The problem came up after a trip to Ottawa where my cousin and I were using a crossover. He did something to the settings and now I can't connect.

    Anyone have a solution?

do you have a wireless on off switch/button on the laptop?

and is the wireless network broadcasting its signal?

also make sure the wireless zero configuration (WZC) service is running

try going to start menu > control panel > administrative tools
    and choose services

scroll down to the bottom and look for "Wireless Zero Configuration"

Make sure that it is enabled

    SS for yah :D
    [IMG]

    if it is disabled,
right click it, click properties and choose enable

    also,
mind taking a picture of your wireless network connection gui?

I know there are no unsecured networks but that's because I'm at home. When I go out and bring a laptop with me, I want to be able to connect to wireless. Where I went today, I bought a cable and connected to internet with that.

I have vista so it's a bit different.

I googled it and it told me that I had to put Wired AutoConfig and WLAN AutoConfig to Automatic and that's what I did. Still couldn't connect though. =/

    log into your router
connect to your internet with an Ethernet cord,
in the address bar type in 192.168.1.1
type in the username and password,
its usually admin for username and password for password,
if you cant figure it out, look on the router itself and find the model number and goto google "model number default password"
    and it should work

and look around and see if you wireless network is broadcasted
