    Hi Gamerenders.

I recently had my 80gb Zune stolen from me while at school. I'm usually pretty careful to lock up all my stuff while in class, so most of the time i'm not worried about theft. But, Wednesday was the day that I forgot to bring my lock so i said to myself, "Oh it's just for one block, what could possibly happen?" I even put it inside the pockets of an extra pair of pants. I come back after class is over, and to my surprise my Zune is missing! My friend who also didn't have his lock was missing money, so we went to see if our high school's deputy could do anything about it. After speaking to the principal, I found out he wouldn't be in until monday, and there is nothing that can be done until then.

So not being content to let some thief possibly damage my precious zune while i sit around and nothing gets done, i've decided to take matters into my own hands. So the first thing I did was look at my zune profile to see if any new music had been played and sure enough, music that I didn't have on my zune had been played, which means someone had connected my zune to their computer. So now with this information, I decided to come here to see if GR's Tech forum could help. What I would like to know if there is any way that you can track the IP address of whoever has accessed my zune profile. If there was, then I would personally be able to get the address of this thief and find them myself, saving time and police resources locating my zune.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

I'd highly, highly doubt you're going to track someones IP via their Zune Play-list.

    Aww. :(

It's true that it is somewhat unrealistic, would it even be worth mentioning it when I file a police report?

well I keep it with me 99% of the time, just that I had leisure sports, which has turned into basically a weight lifting class, and since it's sort of hard to lift in jeans, i changed to shorts. otherwise, it's always in my pocket. I guess I could try phoning for support, but what exactly would i ask?

well it's going to mess me up, because i listen to it usually 3+ hours a day. I have an old 2gb 1st gen ipod nano, but that obviously doesn't compare to the zune and has a battery life of almost 4 hours.

oh jeez. I don't think I could go back to a cd player, i'm so used to switching between artists. I'm trying to see if i can narrow it down to what group of people would be able to get to my locker, as you can only go in if a teacher unlocks the door to the lockers that i had my zune in.
