    Was the Nano Chromatic necessary?
EMGN thinks the Nano Chromatic was necessary because of the iPod Touch and iPhone the Nano was getting "left behind" technology wise and style wise... but does the Nano Chromatic stand up to the standards of people these days?

    New Features

    The Genius Feature
Say you’re listening to a song you really like and want to hear other tracks that go great with it. The Genius feature finds the songs in your music library that go great together and makes a Genius playlist for you. It’s like having your own highly intelligent, personal DJ.

Upgraded Way to Find Your Music
It’s even easier to find the song you want to hear. Now you can view your album art in Cover Flow. Or just press and hold the Center button to browse by album or artist. When you find the right song, press the Center button to add it to your on-the-go playlist.

Rock and Roll (Flip Screen Feature)
Tilt or turn iPod nano on its side, and you’ll listen, watch, and play in new ways. You can flip through your album art with Cover Flow. Or, vertically speaking, see more albums and artists on the screen at one time.

    Shake n' Shuffle
Sometimes, we could all use a little unpredictability. And now you can shake to shuffle your music. Just give iPod nano a shake and it shuffles to a different song in your music library. You’ll always be surprised by what you’ll hear.

    iGames
Now you can get in on games made especially for iPod nano and the accelerometer. They respond to the way you move, so they’re immersive, addictive, and a blast. iPod nano comes with Maze, which lets you work your way through vast mazes by tilting and moving. You can find even more games on the iTunes Store.

The following review was not by me, and could be found here.

I think the new iPod Nano is a waste. The genius feature is just pointless, and the shake shuffle is also dumb. What if your running and your getting pumped up and all of a sudden the song changes? Well, in my opinion, this is just going to be an overrated iPod, but what is yours?

I think that its useless, majority of the features, could have been an update for the currant iPod Nano.

I love how every year they come out with an ipod that's just SLIGHTLY different and people are like "OMG MY IPOD IS OUTDATED AND THAT ONE HAS SO MANY MORE FEATURES! MUST UPGRADE!"

actually despite my disliking of ipods this one does look nicer than the last few, although they all did seem like arbritrary upgrades.

The shaking feature is pointless though, how ------ing hard is it to push a button?

The flip-screen feature is absolutely useless. It's on my Touch, and to be honest the ONLY time I want my screen sideways is when I'm watching a movie. The Touch's screen, however, will flip sideways with the slightest movement, and it is annoying to get back to normal without pressing the center button and going back to where I was at.

I love the colors but I don't like the ipod. It has too many useless features and not enough useful ones

Well anyone who wants to buy it is screwed anyway.

    System requirements:
    Service Pack 3.

Anyone with half a brain knows that no-one uses service pack 3 because it is gay. It screws you over with emails and other things.

So Apple need to find half a brain and solve this problem.

It's hardly a new model, liek nanSTA thought. It IS an update to the last nano, and it think it is a welcome update. The new nano feels 100% nicer to hold than the square one. My sister has two and syncs them flawlessly with iTunes on SP3 XP. Although i'd personally stick to the classic, the new nano is nice and i'm glad they went back to the older shape.

if you want games on an Ipod and an accelerometer you buy an ipod touch/ Iphone not an ipod nano...
i think they just made an unnecesary upgrade...
