    Hello,

So here is the deal. I'm going through some issues with my computer and I'm going nuts because I cannot seem to do ANYTHING about it, and I cannot do ANYTHING on my own ------ing computer! (Pardon my French)

I have a laptop that I bought from Best Buy less than 1 year ago, it had MicVista of course, which we all know is pretty ----ty because of all the errors and issues that Microsoft themselves still does not know how to fix.

I've reformated about four times, but at the time it had been Vista with a friends disk. I do not have the disks any longer because I am not friends with him anymore.
So now I need to do it again, and want to go to XP, as I am tired of the continious issues Vista provides me, and its a daily basis that I have computer problems that are related to the OS.

So, right now I cannot get into my computer unless it is in safe mode. If I reboot my computer or start it up into normal mode, it gets to the loading, then goes to a black screen, and you see a million different colorful lines across the screen, then it goes black, blank and does not continue anything!
So you have to then power it off, and start over, and go into safe mode with networking.
I cannot do ANYTHING in safe mode, because, well... it is what it is.
I've tried hoping it'll go away, and it has not.

I've tried installing XP off of a few peoples disks. It gets to the blue screen, it's loading all the drivers in the setup, etc, and then it tells me there is an error with the hard disk and the setup cannot continue, so then I'm back to square one...

Does anyone have any idea on how I can get it fixed without taking it to the ----ty nerds at "geek squad" or paying 100.00 for an XP --- disk set?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

If you bought the laptop with vista on it, it shouldn't have *too* many problems haha. Did you install all the correct drivers which should have come with the laptop after you did a fresh install fo vista? It might have been missing crucial drivers to funtion correctly.

Look, don't worry about the computer; we have bigger problems to solve.

The pink text makes my eyes burn.

    1. Download XP
    2. Put it on a disk
    3. Load disk
    4. Make a second boot of XP
    5. Run XP
    6. ???
    7. Profit!

    EDIT:

I'm just installing a second boot on my laptop and I'll walk you through doing it when it's done.

I wouldn't mind keeping Vista, as long as I can get a nice fresh computer..
I'll have to try to reinstall in the morning and get the exact error,
I tried the last good config earlier this afternoon, it did the same thing.
When it boots up, it goes to a black blank screen, and then it gets a million different colorful lines, then goes black, then to the *Blue Screen* shutdown.

I also cannot install anything onto a disk because my computer isn't reading any disks in safe mode.
