    General Synopsis:

Alright, have any of you ever played this game, or even thought about it?

I came from a background of Wolf:ET. I played that game for pretty close to 4 or 5 years, I loved it. When I first saw trailers for Quake Wars I was really excited... then I bought the game. It has a built in stats tracking system, which in ways is a good idea, but it's implementation is less than desirable. It comes with a whopping 12 maps, which make up 4 3 map campaigns. After you have played each campaign about 2 or 3 times, the maps get very old and very repetitive. On top of that, the majority of the campaigns generally are heavily stacked in the favor of one team, either the Strogg or the GDF (Global Defense Forces). Overall I am not impressed with the game. In order for your stats to be tracked by the game, you have to play on servers called "Ranked" servers, which just means they run the base install of the game + whatever patch update is the most current. No mods, no new maps, you don't even have full access and cannot unban players, you have to submit support tickets to do that. The only relief that comes is from the unranked servers, which run mainly ETQWPro, a competition mod for those of you who never played Wolf:ET. the unranked servers can also run the custom maps made by players, which in many rights are far better than the ones released by Splash Damage. The competition in the game has dropped lately too. This season of CAL for Quake Wars sees only 6 (maybe 8, I forget) teams who are competing, while other leagues have fewer. The majority of the clan are "pub" clans, which means they don't do competition and only ever play, generally on their server, or a select few servers.

Anyway, if any of you have played it, what are you thoughts? What system do you play it on, PC, Xbox, PS3? What's your username and stats page?

Here are a few links to my stats, the first is the stats tracked officially by Quake Wars, the other gives more in depth information.

This game is old now. Never really caught on X360 wise I don't think. Though I have and think it's awesome, but it gets old after awhile.

Yeah, they are talking about it for the console, I was more geared towards the PC version, which in it's own right is 10 times better than the console versions.
