    Sorry guys n gals,

I don't do this often but i thought it was worth a post or two to underline the great work done in this SIG

    This is SERIOUSLY HOT

Depth is off the charts and less is more in this case... love it when they keep it simple like that.

DUNNO but let me know if it's just me or did Hells do an amazing job on this one....

*fingers crossed that hells actually made it - if not please pass the credit where it is due*

CUZ That One really stands out in a crowd...

It's flat, don't know where you're getting any idea of depth from.

Not here to C&C/criticize his tag though, hence why threads like these shouldn't be made.

Yeah i think broken fits you well for a name...

All i did - was pat someone on the back for a job well done... and if you can't see the visual effect of depth in this created by the out of focus then you shouldn't have been staff in a graphic forum to start... there is nothing wrong with making a thread like this and you of all - shouldn't have discouraged it

Sorry Hell if i gave you any grief... the intention was to point out the technique - of which i thought was well applied but hey - guess you can't please them all

Hope you get some comfort in knowing that some of us like what your doing and keep up the great work... i think your on to something here keep it up

Lot's of splatters, not really seeing the huge amount of depth you mentioned. Nicely done, but you're goin a bit crazy over it! xD

There is no depth here at all. Blurriness doesn't equal depth if there isn't a proper foreground and background that visually determines that distance between them exists.

It's alright looking, but it's simple to make.

    EDIT:

Not only that, but certain parts are blurred for no real reason at all... Like the person's forehead and right eye.

Oh please, don't even begin to lecture me on graphics, you've got a few years to catch up on me yet. PM someone, tell them in private, we do not need a thread in the forum, otherwise there'd be 1000s of these every day. I'm not saying it's a terrible sig, it's just not a particularly good one (And, no offense meant Hells). God forbid I don't agree with your opinion, then again, you're wrong.

PS : Why me of all? I'm retired, I'm not going to walk around like 90% of this forum still do and refuse to be honest. "Great tag" does nothing but boost people's ego which believe it or not is not always a good thing.

Hmmm lol depth. No depth. All he did was take the render, turn up the contrast, add some splatters and blur some. There is barely any depth at all. You clearly don't understand how depth is created. Depth is created with blur when you contrast it with sharpened areas and create planes of depth. I.e. background, middleground, foreground (plus as many other mid points as you want/can), all with different levels of focus. It wouldn't surprise me if this were the outcome of a tutorial.

No offense to hells, it's nice work, but doesn't need you to make an appreciation thread, especially as I've seen better outcomes with this render in the same style.

Also, maybe you should post some of your own work up instead of just posting congratulations on other people's sigs. If they're good, we'll recognize that outselves without you doing this whole charade.

I can sorta see where he is talking about depth, the mere fact that when you look at the plot, the splatters appear to be actually exploding, alot of people cant make that effect as their splatters tend to just shoot 2d from the side, the effect is simple, I do agree with this. Then again this only my opinion, its simple and its easy, enough said.

hey guys, i didnt want this too happen. this has now become a flame thread and it is actually putting my work down now. i am not that great i am still improving. my original thread said that i was trying somehting. yes this is one of my better pieces as i am always growing and becoming better. i am sorry for all of the people that were called out in this thread. thnak you for giving me an honorable mention here and for liking my work, but this post has become a big flame and yes i am taking the criticism and i am going to apply it to my new piece. thank you all for your feedback and again thank you for the shout out. my original post i said i was going for simple but yet affective and i have accomplished this. the depth is not out of this world as some of the better designers have done.

oo yea and the right side of her was a screw up becasue i went to fix that when it was too late due to apply image. :D
