I don't have experience with either of the two mice you posted, but I have experience with older gaming models. I used the MX-518 for a long time, but eventually I moved to the Razer Deathadder, which is *far* better in my honest opinion. It was heavier with better DPI functions (especially because I can't count how many times I accidentally hit the lowest DPI setting on my MX-518) than the MX-518, and with my hand being fairly shaky it really helps account for that and make up the difference between the mice.

Cheers for your advice guys. I'm deffo going for the G15 board. I'm still undecided on the mouse, but i reckon i will be going for the G5, as the Lchesis (altho pretty good) has a pretty hefty price tag imo.

As far as the keyboard goes, the G15 is pretty solid. It really depends on the features that you want and need.

Do you want the lights and "bling" factor" that you get with Razor? (I know you don't want razor, just making a comment) Or perhaps you jsut want a basic keyboard with a few buttons to control your media tossed in?

My questions with all of this are simple:
Why are you going to upgrade?
    Price range?
    Required features?
What is the primary function for these?

I will say that I own 4 razor mice. I don't use any other them, they just aren't comfortable to me. I am a huge FPS gamer, but I don't see the improvement of having 2millionDPI resolution... There is just a point where higher resolution for input devices just doesn't help.

I own 3 other mice that cost me over $50 each within the last 2 years. I don't use those ones... The MX Revolution game close, but was a little wide for my taste. So what do I use?

A logitech 518 gaming mouse, which can be had for about 440 or less at nearly any vendor. I got mine from NewEgg
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16826104178
It is comfortable and has a lot of functionality that I actually USE in game and out of game. the resolution of the mouse is plenty, and did I fail to mention it's the msot comfortable mouse I have ever used?

    WhAT YOU DON'T WANT:

Anything WIRELESS. I don't care who tells you otherwise. I have 3 wireless setups in the basement. First of all, they cost more money. Even if there is only 0.001 nanosecond of lag to send the information to your PC, that is still lag that you wouldn't have with a corded setup. Batteries need to be charged. Batteries are heavy, Batteries cost money and eventually need to be replaced. In short, batteries are a hassle that are not worth the trouble. Therefore wireless usually costs more, is less functional overall, and can be a hassle.

Anything that's not comfortable to YOU (What is comfortable to me might not be for you). So get into a store that sells these and TRY THEM OUT! ;)
