My computer is actually rubbish. I'm looking for a new one. I've been looking for a while and, I'm in a price range of about £150-£225 (That's around $300-$450). So is THIS good for my money (Link may not work, if not, say so and I'll pic it.)? It's £224.99 altogether, here's the specs. I'm probably gonna use it for gaming/photoshop purposes, the games aren't very high specs to run (512mb+ RAM, 1.5+Ghz CPU, nVidia Geforce 3 or higher/equivalent) Processor Type Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E4500 RAM Memory 2048 MB Hard Disk Capacity 250 GB Graphics Memory 256mb MB Graphics Description nVidia GeForce 8400 GS Sound Card Onboard No of USB connections 6 No of PCI Slots 3 No. of Firewire Connections 1 Keyboard YES Mouse YES Software Titles Included Works 8.5 I don't really wanna buy seperate stuff, I know it's cheaper, but I've never changed anything before so I'd probably mess it up and I don't know where anything is in a computer
the card is rubbish and it's not due to lack of vRAM it's due to lack of sheer processing power try for at least an 8600/9500 preferably an 8800 most everything else looks alrgiht
This? Would I have to change anything on the computer to make this work, and how/where do you put it in <_<
I'm not exactly sure about what things are worth in Pounds, but if it's ~3 times NZ$, then I'd say don't buy that. The 640 and 320mb variants of the 8800GTS are old. I'd say look at an 8800GT or 9600GT.
