Demo'ed it at the tradeshow and spoke with the developers. Its a pretty neat little game. Kind of reminds me a bit of TF2 from what I saw in the demo I played. It should be interesting though, and its nice to have free games coming out. I have a beta key around here some where, just don't remember where I put it.
I wanna play because it's free. But they said they aren't going to release it as a whole, they're gonna release it to a certain of people. Slowly expanding. What bunch of bull ----. EA blows. Game looks fun too with being able to sit on a wing of a plane.

For everyone who doesn't know, and wanna know: BattleField Heroes is an online Cartoon shooter, the game isn't heavy on your network and isn't heavy in driver-space. You can have your own settings like normal, almost 2D-quality (6.5/10) or like super fine high 3D-quality (9/10) The game is still in the creation phase, the guys who're in the Beta, are testing the game on errors, bugs, playability and more. At first the game had 2 maps, one infantry-map and one vehicle-map, later in Beta a third map was introduced, it was an vehicle-map. Recent, you can only choose a male personage, maybe later the makers would introduce the ladies. You can change your character's Clothes, Weapons and add Abality's. While creating an character, you can give him a night-dark skin or an paper-white skin, bald or hair, moustache or an beard. You can play in three classes, and in 2 teams. Jet you only can create four characters. The game would be updated every time with new maps and missions etc. You CAN host your own party by payment. The game is very nice, only a few parts are missing. Some dudes are waiting ages for an Beta-key, some aren't. The actual release date isn't sure, at first it would be done in 2008, then begin 2009, then begin spring and now it is just waiting. Hope I gave you some information
Well...I randomly got emailed a beta key so I gave it a go...ok so it's kinda dumb in that sniper rifles are a lil bit weak..but there's a tiny addictive streak about it..once ya get into it it's hard to stop playing........but maybe it's just me..
I played it at the New York Comic Con. It's a pretty neat game, but it's definitely not a 'deep' game. It's got very basic gameplay and it's supposed to ship with only 3-5 maps. Yea, It's pretty fun.
