You guys have heard about the P90X Fitness Program right? Site: http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_p...code=P90OTCOM I am currently 19 Years old and a little overweight, though the overweight part you can barely see because I have a huge built up chest and shoulders. I want to try out P90X for 90 Days (duh!) and see what results I get from it because some of the people at my college tried it out and got marvelous results. A guy who was 240 pounds did P90X once for 90 Days and got down to 200 with a 6 pack. Did it again for another 90 Days and got down to 180 with a ripped body. So I want to give it a try. My only concern is if it is effective and will it work well? So shall I go ahead and order it Zainx
Some of the guys in those commercials are absolutely ripped. I doubt anyone would get that good of results unless they had very good genes. However, I'd give it a go. You'll definately see results, although unlikely that you will look like they do in the commercials.
Hey I am only 18 years old right now (going to be 19 in 5 days..next Monday), the guys / girls in the commercials are over 40 or so and have been doing the P90 and P90X series for two or three years. They need this type of stuff. For a body like mine it is a good way to keep off and shed a few pounds along the way. I just want to look like I did in my freshman / sophomore year in high school  So yeah I am going to give it a try ... will ask my parents to buy it for me for me birthday! Zain
...Yeah .RIIIIIIIGht... Anyhow I am going to buy it either today or tomorrow since it takes 5 days for delivery so it will be home by this Friday or next Monday Zain
the P90X series is pretty friggin awesome. The best overall advice i can give you is Work out your abs every chance you get throughout the day. When you wake up and before you go to bed are key. But if you have an hour between class or something try get a couple sets in of crunches, situps, leg raises whatever. Cardio is also a big part of it because not only are you burning fat but you are using your stomach muscles a little bit for the whole run which puts them under pressure etc etc. I had never had a 6 pack before and was like a rock in about 4 weeks after some good work at it. Good luck
It looks like a decent program. But I think I'm just going to stick to Mens Health. Their work-out routines mixed with little bits and pieces I've picked up from other random books, mixed with creatine and a protein shake every morning. i love the results. Look up the Home Grown Muscle program by mens Health.
Thanks I know people who tried it out and were amazed with the results. My friend (since freshman year in high school) was fatter than me and tried out P90X he was amazed with the results. He got a solid / rock hard 8 Pack with the whole P90X (which is hard since the last two are hard to get). So I want to try it out for 90 days and see where I get... I am lazy to run... Zain
Running is soooo boring, but I still do it often just to keep in shape. I wish I had a swimming pool so that I could swim anytime I wanted. It is a much better full body workout.
If you just want to shed some pounds quit being lazy and go run. It's not hard at all and it's free.
My guess is you really dunno any thing about this.
If you are talking about the Hacken..dude then I am ok but not me. I was a body builder, just that got hurt while playing sports and then family problems in the past year and a half, so had to leave body building behind. Now I just want to get back to it asap ....Running does nothing. True it leaves some pounds off of your body but most of it is good muscle, not a lot of fat till you run at the same pace which then turns into cardio, good for your heart. I do it sometimes but it won't give me the results that I need. Oh and I got a swimming pool but I am embarrassed most of the time to go in due to my ------ing body... Hence, I want to change it.. Zain
True, running and swimming are high intensity cardio, do low intensity work outs for 30 minutes a day (jogging with a lot of layers on, stepping machine, etc.) that way the muscle that's taken off is minimal compared to the fat-loss. Eat about 60g-90g of carbs a day in 6 meals throughout the day, have lots of chicken breast and veg, give it a few months and your body will be back to normal. Try and keep your protein intake high and keep the carbs around that. Of course if you really want to lose fast you can cycle carbs, means on a 3 day cycle have 60g 1 day, 120g the next day and 90g the next day, it keeps your body guessing, if you give it the same food, the same portions and the same work outs day in- day out it adjusts, so you need to keep it guessing for maximum loss or gains. You don't need a fitness program as such they all say the same thing, eat right and exercise, I can give you that information for free, just to get off your ass for 30 minutes a day and to eat clean. It's really not that difficult.
Jogging with lots of layers on is just losing weight by sweating, mostly. Therefor you'd only be losing water weight, which does not count. Fighters/Boxers etc do that before a match. They run with heavy clothing on to lose as much water weight as possible before a weigh in to get more accurate results on their weight/strength.....then afterwards they're all cranky cuz they have very little water in their system and drink a decent amount of water. hahaha To lose weight in the mid section, cardio is good, but regular cardio, and also do crunches, planks, side planks, and leg raises. Thats just whats worked for me..And make sure you stay well hydrated throughout the day/your workouts... Not to excess obviously, but you know what I mean. check out menshealth.com for several tips and tricks. Also maybe look up the book Fit to Fight. Written by an MMA trainer on how to get in great shape...And develop MEAN punches. hahaha Anyways, all that stuff is simply whats worked for me.. Not sure if it will work as well, if at all, for you. heh. Peace. - Deven
