Ive been waiting for it since i saw the small 10 minute creature stage demo. ie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiaXyNrUChI

Game sucked. There was nothing procedural about anything in the game(emphasized because this was supposed to be the 'revolutionary' part of the entire game, count how many times Will says 'procedural' in that video link). Theres no difference in playing completely aggresive style or a completely religous(social nonaggressive) style. EVERYTHING is about STATS and not how your creature looks. Civilization stage is the biggest joke of gameplay i have ever played. Space was fun for the first few hours cuz you get new gadgets. Once you get the hang of it, its just another looong grind.

Creature creator is just like the demo. Your ingame creature ur cultivating will never be as badass as the ones you made in the demo tho unless you spend days grinding for money. Building/Vechicle creation is not as good as creature creation. Textures look like they're from 1998, solid colors look like clay. Weapons are just for STATS and do nothing else.

Cell stage while simplistic was the only redeeming factor, other than their creators, simply because of the total immersion into the 'evolutionary' process.

If you've played throu the game once you've already done all the gameplay there is. The replay value is simply in the different graphics from the different creature you create and color of your lazers. I seriously have no idea where some review sites get off at giving this game a high score. IMHO its like a 4/10 at the most.

Oh yea and one other weird quirk, theres a 30fps limiter on the game for some reason.

TLDR ver. Unless you LOVE the creature/building/vechicle creators and seriously dont care about gameplay AT ALL then this is 'game' isnt even worth the dvd its burned on. Arent they coming out with a Spore DS game? Yea? They should of left it there.

The style you play with makes a big differenece. I was playing as aggresive, and when I got to the civilization stage, it all depends on what you are. I acually ended up switching to economics and ended up buying everyones city.

Cell stage is probably the most fun. Space is pretty sweet, especially when you get to explore more of the galaxy. Space stage is HUGE, but I was acually expecting a free roam of the whole galaxy not just chunks of it at a time.

Fun game, although it does get old after you play it for a bit....but I love the different creators, they keep you pretty busy.

the only thing i agree with D4rX is on that it takes for ever to grind to get your charcter how you want them to look in the creature creator, its nearly impossible to get them to look how ever you want them to from the beginning and near the end if you just jumped to the next stage every time your done...but besides that its pretty good for a game for those creative people

    Oof?
    Agreed with, whoever posted, earlier.
    Aye.

Fail game is fail, it's grinding continuously with brief moments of creativity. Kills a bit of time, but there's a host of more deserving games.
