Recording Software/hardware

    So, to all of you, what do you feel is the best music recording software or hardware that you have used... And to make it interesting.. Let's say...Under $500. :)

    Lets keep Audacity out here. Cuz it is pretty bad. haha

    I've never done hardcore recording or for anything special,
    But I have used Nero SoundTrax, Recode, and SoundWave Editor (all by nero included in a suite I bought)

    Never gave me any problems,

    but again, I'm sure we are using it for way different reasons :D

    Just like to record my stuff, man. To share it and for improvement purposes.

    Mixcraft is great!
    It works with all types of vst plugins and more.
    I have auto tune on it to give me a t-pain effect.
    But i do it for comedy rapping.
    Audition is also good for those who know how to handle it and are familiar with the dashboard.

    There's no software that cannot be learned given the proper time and attention. It's just like Photoshop.
