I'm in the market for a new gaming notebook, around the $1500 range. So far I have been looking at the ASUS models because I can get them at wholesale or less. But I am also interested in MSI. I want to be 17'' notebook as well. So far I am most likely looking at getting an ASUS M70. Any thoughts?
I'd take a look into the Dell XPS models. I've heard good things about them and I think you get some good power for the price.
I have the HP Pavillion dv9035nr and I use it for gaming, it's great for it. It runs Call of Duty 4 no problem, and haven't tried any other games yet. It has a nVIDIA GeForce GO 7600. Built in mic for when you want to talk to people in Teamspeak and whatnot. It is definitely below the $1500 price range, but may be a little "old". It is about 3 years old now I'd say, but it runs really well still. Average battery life without being plugged in is about an hour and a half. The screen size is 17", which is pretty big.
Actually I have decided on the Gateway P-7811-FX which has 4GB of DDR3 Memory, 64bit os so i can actaully use all 4 gigs, and an nVidia 9800. Its gonna be perfect, Thanks for the suggestions though.
If you have not taken the plunge yet, I think it might be a good idea that you should check out the reviews first of the various models. And by comparing their notebook ratings, that should give you an idea of which one is best for you. Good luck.
