all smudging, grunge brushing, and lighting. [: oh and some adjustment layers. anyways, leme know how you feel about it ps: no renders or stocks
no depth. adn the text does not fit at all, needs to be blended. hmm, i dont think it is finished yet, try continuing to play with it add depth and lighting and color.
add some drop shadows on some of the smudged brushing? how do i add depth to space? haha...its just an empty blackness.. btw, i have one without text i use on other sites as my signature...i just put this one up. blended? as in how?
To create depth you are going to need a light source, then use the blur, sharpen, dodge, and burn tools to create depth.
ah i didnt blur...and im pretty sure i didnt use the dodge tool but everything else i did..the sharpen didnt do much...just made the white dots brigher haha. but i used the burn tool, used a soft brush for lighting, filter->render->lighting effects...all that. im gonna go back and blur it. [:
yeah i was trying to make this thing with no renders or stocks..ill look at some photos and see if its possible without a picture
More than just a dust like nebula, trying to create the effect of a star (like not a little dot, but the illusion that it is close such as our sun is to us) can create some spectacular lighting and depth.
You can't add depth to space without there being objects there first. I think you idiots need to realize that.. You don't just add depth to something when there is nothing there to create a depth of field... @Reaper: Add an asteroid field in there... It's simple. Zoom in and get your lasso tool out. Make tiny little shapes and just fill them with black. Make it smaller if needed. You might wanna add a simple planet in there as well.
if your doing smudging you need to try and get some good detailed texture that has flow nice attempt though
yyeah im doing smudging...just brshing some vibrant and some dark colors and smudging them together. [: hmm like a vintage grunge texture? i saw one of those on DA for download
