Your logic on pre-marital sex is exteremly flawed. For one example, if a couple get married at say...20, and have sex, are they any less likely to catch an STD then a couple who are 20 and have sex before marraige? No. Being married doesn't do a damn thing, and again, the breaking up of relationships is completely unrelated, one page of "information" hardly convinces me otherwise. "Our bodies take it badly(STDs)" ; Just assuming that all pre-marital sex occurs when we're 16? Sorry, it's nothing to do with sex "feeling good or bringing pleasure". I mean, obviously that helps. But it's normal, it's nature, it's nature that your god supposedly gave to us. There's nothing wrong with having sex as long as you're of legal age and you're safe about it, married or not, it doesn't mean your more likely to get STDs at all (but shows a nice view you have on modern culture). If anything the sexual attraction between two people is what brings a VAST number of relationships together, and you know what, the large majority of people will either a ) never be married b ) be divorced once Think pre-marital sex is the reason people divorce? Sorry, where's the logic in that? It's nature, it happens, it's how the world works and how the world always has and will, if it brings billions of people happiness then what the hell is wrong with it? The people who ------ed up and end up pregnant, it's their problem to deal with, it's their situation to get out of whatever that entails, it doesn't make them bad people, it doesn't make them sinners, it's part of growing up to learn from your mistakes and adapt. Then you move on to talk of a reliable TV Program, from Fox of all companies. Well, I've got some news for you buddy, TV is NEVER un-biased. Any big company is going to have some internal biased structure, in every large news company/newspaper in existence. It may seem to be a fair argument but you've got no idea what goes on in editing, no idea what the producers of the program actually want you to think, they work on their own agenda to promote whatever side they happen to back. It sounds overly cynical, but look at any large newspaper, and I mean actually read it cynically and you'll see constant hints at what sides they back, at what political parties they support, about their stance on abortion, about everything. The media is never a reliable source of information unless you get it straight from the source and cut out the middle-man, because until then you don't know what said middle-man actually changes. Love how you went on to mention Psychology as factually inept, regardless of the fact you're a Christian. It's the same thing, effectively, I've got faith in science (inc. Psychology) and it's effects and what it can achieve, and you've got faith in the Bible. Psychology regularly proves theories and helps to explain the world, it helps to save peoples lives instead of squandering them. Points in the bible may well be backed up by Scientists, heck, I'm sure lots of the bible is actually fact but you still need faith to believe in the parts that might not be, just like people have faith in science.
Who said I was insulted over your comments, or that I was intending to insult you? I am simply agitated I wasted time trying to argue logically, once again, with a pig headed religious fanatic. She messed up, her child is a reflection of that mess up, psychologically speaking, that is all there is to it. I'll let Broken / Ferret bother with correcting your opinions with facts as they are the ones who are able to put up with people like you (especially Broken).
More fun stuff. You label Clinton as the "king of corruption." You obviously haven't studied US History. Look up a guy named Grant. Actually, scratch that. Look at the Reconstruction era (1865-1871). Clinton is a ------ing saint compared to those people. He got a blowjob while in office, and then lied about it under oath (perjury). He was impeached for that perjury, and he suffered a lot of heat after his little adventure. Does that make his presidency corrupt, evil, and immoral? Not in my book. Clinton did a lot of good and a lot of bad. He's not the greatest, but there are plenty that are worse. His adultery is a moral issue, and you can condemn him just as I choose not to. It doesn't mean he failed as a president. He didn't invade Afghanistan after the 1998 embassy bombings. He had the opportunity to kill Bin Laden, and he tried (tomahawk strikes into Afghanistan, Sudan). He failed. Bush tried to finish the job, but decided Iraq was more important. You can criticize Bush just as much; actually, he's worse on the Bin Laden issue in my opinion. He did some stupid ----, but he also gave us a $558 billion surplus. Bush spent that away. Some of his policies helped Bush do that, but he improved the economy nonetheless. That's better than Reagan, the low-tax small government guy who skyrocketed our national debt during his terms. On McCain: As I stated in my previous post, you support Palin because she's a "true conservative." Do you support McCain for the same reasons? He agrees with her on most of the issues you mentioned in the Palin VP nomination thread. You obviously hate Obama, going so far as to label him as "the antichrist." Why is that? Because he had an Islamic education? Arabic speaker? Some irrational fear of secret closed Nazi Muslim Quaker Time-travelers? Or is it because you disagree with him? Obama has some good ideas and he has some bad ideas. He's against federal regulation of abortion and gay marriage, which I agree with. I agree with some of his energy policies (I like McCain's idea of nuclear power, though -- should have been done a long time ago). I don't agree with socialized medicine, but I doubt that would make it through Congress. I agree with his stance on the Iraq war; we never should have gone in, period (the Iraqi government wants us to start pulling out; why does McCain want to keep a Korea-like presence there for the next hundred years or so?). I do think Obama's experience is questionable; he's been a senator for less than two years. I don't care that he's black (actually, less than 10%...). I don't care that he speaks Arabic or that he went to an Islamic school. I do question some of the people he hung out with (Weathermen, his pastor). I don't think that makes him evil, however. Tell me, why are you so afraid of this guy? Would you prefer somebody like Barry Goldwater, who wanted to nuke North Vietnam back in the day? Would you prefer a Mike Huckabee, who was a pastor once upon a time (really the only good reason I think so many evangelicals went for him)? On religion: I don't have the patience to debate Christianity with you. I will say this: I think you have no room to talk about science being false, without factual basis, etc., considering you follow a book written by men, under inspiration of a god that neither you or I have any real evidence of (don't bring up "creationist science;" that's an oxymoron if I've ever seen one). You have your beliefs and I have mine. Don't tell me I don't know about Christianity, however. I considered myself a Christian for a number of years, made an effort to learn about it. It's got some decent ideas, and it's got some total bull----. If you want to believe it, go ahead. Don't tell me that I have to, however, and keep your religion out of my government. I don't believe the "moral issues" that you seem to concern yourself with have any place in politics. Period.
Just because I feel obligated to post this picture each time religion comes up because I find it absolutely hilarious...
I'm just going to say one thing. Do some research. Read statistics. Don't simply blather on about how you know that premarital sex is ok, has no problems. Do research, then post again, using some actual facts. I posted a link, that backed my statements, now it's your turn. And, if you want hear actual statistics, READ THE STATISTICS, READ the link I posted. Oh, and if both you and your spouse waited to have sex after marriage, it's not very likely you'll get an STD, now, is it? As all of you sexually active young people should know, there is no way to protect yourself completely from STD's, no matter how safe you think you are. I have a problem with psychology, because it's not based on facts. I think it can have a purpose, but very little. Read the link, or are you afraid of being proven wrong? Well, once again you can't read. Just TRY to read the whole post, ok? I understand it's not filled with pretty pictures, but please, try and pay attention. Here's me quote: "I have never said Mccain would be a good president.". I don't like Mccain. His voting record has not been that of a conservative. I simply don't hate him as much as Obama. Oh, and as for your comments on Reagan, yes, our debt went up. But, the soviets fell. That was the idea, to get into an arms race with Russia, and force them to callapse under their spending. Once again, you can't read. THE CATHOLICS WERE NOT ACTING ON THE WORDS OF GOD, WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE. Christians who take actions, claiming to be men of God, but aren't acting on the words of the Bible, are not Christians. And you forget, or perhaps you simple never read the Bible, but Jesus came here to get rid of Religion. He came to earth to give man a chance for salvation, and that's the message of the Bible. Not to go around, killing people that don't agree with you, as the Cotholics did during the Crusades. As for Catholics being old style Christians, you're wrong YET AGAIN. The Catholics preach about a great many things, that are nowhere in the Bible. A good example is Purgatory, which is never spoken of in the Bible. And I don't know if it's changed, but in years past, they didn't even allow their followers to read the Bible themselves, only the priests were allowed to read it to them. Wrong yet again. Sean Hannity has never attacked ANY politician, because of their family's actions. Disagree? Prove it. What's your point? The books in the Bible were still written by different men, at different periods. You're trying to say that the bible was altered? Or what? Again, prove it. Any church that claims to be Christian, but doesn't follow or preach the words of the Bible, or adds to those written in the Bible, is NOT a Christian church. Period. And my reply to your second post.... Go back and read your history books. Clinton was the only one impeached. As for his GREAT economical work, read this link. http://russp.org/taxcuts.html "How can we be sure the economic boom presided over by Clinton was actually due to Reagan? It's simple. Even though Clinton increased tax rates, the top rate after his tax hikes was still less than 40%, down a full 30% from the 70% rate before Reagan's tax cuts. In terms of the money left after taxes, that's a huge jump from (100-70=) 30% to (100-40=) 60% -- a doubling of the amount of money that continues, year after year, to go into the private economy rather than the federal budget. It hardly takes an economist to understand the huge effect on economic growth of doubling after-tax income." Pretty sure that shuts up the whole "Clinton saved our economy!" argument. Dangit, will you EVER stop proving that you're still in grade school? I said, and I quote, "Lesser of two evils? OBAMA?! HE'S THE FRIGGIN' ANTICHRIST! Yeesh. Ok, he's not REALLY the antichrist, but he's by far the greater of the two evils.". Oh, and you of course know that Christians are against abortion and gay marriage, so why is it, if Obama is a Christian, that he's FOR these things? Oh, and BTW, isn't anyone curious as to why Obama refuses to let anyone see his birth certificate? Maybe none of you school kids have heard, but the idea's been going around that Obama might not have even been born in the United States. But, Obama refuses to show his birth certificate, to prove that he was born here. Odd, don't you think? No, I liked Huckabee, but, if I remember correctly, he had some odd things on his voting record. Can't remember off the top of my head. And honestly? I'd like Palin to be president. And government is always based on some form of morals. Laws are based on a set of morals(it's wrong to kill, therefore it's illegal). So, if you don't wanna base, say, laws, on the morals set in the Bible, then what would you like to base them off of? As for Dementia's pic, that's actually pretty funny. Ha ha. Oh, one more thing, to all of you attacking Palin: Are any of you parents of a child between the ages of 15-17?
Child boo Might as well say just about every church. No church seems to follow basic rulings in the Bible. Every Christian looks at me like a retard when I tell them the Bible prohibits pork, yet just goes to show you how much they actually study on their religion. If you're going to bring up facts, then lets bring up the fact of the Bible has over 50,000 errors in it, as researched by a group of Christians who go mostly by logic. And I can prove that
Most modern day chyurches are not Christian churches. Most do not speak on what they should, and instead, they bend the words of the bible, to fitl their own needs. Oh, you can? Then please do, this should be good. And BTW, what sort of errors are we talking about? Because I'm quite aware of translation errors, though most of them were slight. And, and for the pork thing, here's someone that asked the same question, and got back a lot of answers. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qi...07085925AAsnMMR Anyway, that's Old Testament law, New Testament changes that. Oh, I forgot to mention earlier, in respect to Christianity not banning other religions in the schools. The atheists have banned Christianity, and yet, many schools have built prayer rooms for muslims. Huh. I thought schools were secular? And schools are funded by taxpayer dollars. Huh.
Do you require special space to pray? Do you have to drop everything and pray five times a day? There's a difference between teaching religious beliefs and accommodating all potential students. You have the spectacular ability to take a complex belief and condense it down to one, entirely un-encompassing label. "Atheists"..."Liberals". Atheists didn't ban Christianity, the CONSTITUTION did. Please. Feel free to not ignore my post this time.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080904/ap_on_...CGKjSHJ4bFh24cA Is this the type of person you want leading your country?
Shourisha1 you are by far the most colossal idiotic bigot I've ever come across the interbuttz. Please go suck on a fucking dick. I hope you get sodomized in the ass by a Pegasus. Idiot.
Maybe you should go back and read yours? You should really educate yourself before you try and act like you can educate others. Oh, and before you use the but oh he was acquitted argument, so was Clinton. And thats all I have to say about that. I just wanted to point out your obvious lack of knowledge on something.
Wow, so I was off on one. Turns out one or two of you actually have brains. I'm impressed. Please, gimme your best shots. I love to laugh. So bring it EBK and Neuron. I'd love to see if your vocabularies are as small as I think they are.v send me a pm, PLEASE. As for you, ferret, the fact that you can read the quote, and still think Clinton was responsible, pretty much proves you shouldn't be speaking on politics. That, and the fact you think our economy was something important, in the face of the Cold War. Obviously, you weren't around during that time, or you'd understand. And yes, tolerance of something wrong, is, morally, the same as acceptance of it. If you watch something bad happen, and refuse to act, you are at least somewhat guilty. Oh, and Piano, you're obviously another sheepl that the media machine pumps out regularly. You're missing the point. They are using MY tax dollars, to pay so that THEY can pray, but my kid couldn't learn about creationism in that same school? The ONLY thing my kid can learn there is Evolution? Evolution, a THEORY, no more proven than creationism? And do you know WHY that was put into the constitution? It wasn't to keep the schools from teaching it, or to make sure no law was based on religion. It was because they didn't want what happened in England, to happen here. It meant that they couldn't tell you to believe in God. You can read it however you like, though. It's obvious your just another sheep.
