I just took a video of me doing something. (No it doesnt involve anything sexual or anything) And I want to get it onto my comp. Like, I want to save it as a mpeg, or avi or anything. It says I need a firewire cable to do it, but I dont have one. Any alternative solutions, such as programs?

you can buy just a firewire cable from the store. I dont think it will work with just a program.

You first off need a camera that is Digital. Then you need to head over to the closest computer store or Best Buy and purchase a Firewire card. Then install that into your computer. Then it will most likely come with a cable that is like a USB cable. You connect it into your camera and then the Firewire port. In the right bottom of your computer screen, you'll see a little note saying you have just connected a camera port into the computer. Then open a editing program for videos such as Video Ulead Studios 8, or just open Windows Media Player and select File > Open. Then open it through the Firewire port ( Should be in My Computer ). Then you can just save it as or edit it by puting a border or a copyright on there. :)

And btw, it doesnt cost a lot of money. 15 - 30 $ for the firewire. And thats really it, unless you want an editing program like Pinnacle Studios or Ulead.
