I was at work last night at the usual time, got there at 10p, intended to stay there the whole night, but I have today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday) off. I have a lot of shit on my mind lately and decided **** it and called up my boss to see if he would come in so I could go home around 1:15am-ish. In Colorado its really common to have 2 and even a few 3 lane right hand turn lanes. As I was going up the road I was on the outside turn lane (on a 2 lane wide right hand turn signal) taking my turn with the green arrow (literally less than 2 miles from my office) and as I am turning, some fucking idiot in the inside turn lane decides he just *needs* to take the turn fast. One thing led to another, ultimately his car not turning so well and hitting me at about a 45 degree angle on the passenger side door, scooting my car over about a full lane and basically blowing out the entire right hand side of my car as I am on the way home from work. He proceeds to finish the turn and keep going (it was some old car, boxy Cadillac-type thing). Long story short, I pulled the car over in a Grease Monkey parking lot conveniently on the corner, and by then the ambulance was already there (there are police stations, fire stations and hospitals all over where I am, you literally can't drive 10 miles without seeing one of each respective station). I was fine, no broken bones or anything, just a couple of sore spots I suppose will turn to bruises where my left side hit the door (like my door lock, the door handle, the window roller on my legs, etc.) and I hit my head. I told them I felt a little dizzy, some slight nausea and I couldn't stand up and walk for a long distance without getting off balance, obviously a concussion (just a minor one). They take me to the hospital where they do some simple tests like putting a flash light towards my eye to check for pupil dilation, had me walk a little bit, gave me a little bit of food till I didn't feel so nauseous anymore, and they said I was clear to go around 6:15am, I called up my second boss and asked if he could take me home because I didn't have a working car, especially not at the hospital, and I got home around 6:45am and I am writing this here now =P.

Anyways, it sucks balls because that car was like my pride and joy, and I doubt I am fairly sure the big ol 'totaled' stamp will be placed on it due to the damages to the right hand side of the car (where it was hit, obv).

He did, I gave the description of the vehicle to the cops, but I didn't have a license plate number or anything. It was like a 1980s brown Cadillac or Buick type car, the old boxy, long front style vehicle that you would see poor people or old people driving.

Pity about the car, must have been a sweet ride.
Good to see all is ok with you though, could have gone far worse than a couple of bruises and a light concussion.
