They're not bad considering how new you are too it, but you can't expect to become good over-night. Listen to the C&C and actually work on it.
i'm not new to Photoshop lol just GR. I dont really use it often though because it takes up alot of my time. I do 90% of my cuts and im very picky. Well i'd appreciate more constructive comments other than "meh" lol. Thank you for your time anyway. And thanks Ewart for the link, it's very helpfull.
Imo there really good for a beginner. Text needs to blend better though. You said you don't like tuts & you do you'r own style, that's cool but it doesn't hurt to do a few tuts, you can still keep you'r own style they just help you pick up some new techniques & stuff. All in all though you did a gj :]
Lol Gibbon, dont be so harsh on yourself. When I read the others' posts, I could tell why you felt disheartened about your efforts and skills. But don't. These are your first signatures, right? Why don't you ask some of the people who commented on your sigs to show their first sigs. I'm pretty sure they weren't as good as the ones they are creating today (no offense meant ). That's because they've been working hard and practicing. Also, I'm pretty sure they've been doing tuts. I know you said you want to have your own style, but just because you're trying out some tutrials, doesn't mean you're giving up your style, you're just learning new techniques to incorporate in your style. And they provide good practice for you to improve. The reason I think some people are being harsh is because they want you to improve, they're not trying to tell you that you suck and stop photoshopping. Check out some of my crappy first sigs, and I'm still a newbie: http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry4284285 http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry4285709 By the way, I think you don't need to search for cooler fonts. A simple font would still work, but I think you need to style the font to blend with sig and make it individual to the signature. Instead what you are doing is finding a stylish font, putting it in white and putting glow on it to make it stand out. But it just doesn't seem to fit in with the composition. All I can say is don't give up if you like doing this stuff, because I'm not. *Also, take criticism positively, as a way to better yourself, and not to put yourself down.
