Hi GR members. I'm a total newbie in graphics, and I'm also the newest member on this forum as of August 9th, 2008 @ 11:10. I'm just going to post all the signatures I've created (for myself, and other people) because you've got to start somewhere to get somewhere. And to go somewhere, I need criticism. Okay for a noobie but why did you make the text reflect in the last sig it threw the whole sig off and you have to do some good tuts.
I love your signatures (I'm a total newb here I joined so I could view some renders but I decided to look around today ) I however, do not like number 8 because it just seems so dull to me and it well doesn't look very entertaining. If you had added some more effects onto it, it may have had a much better outcome but apart from that one the rest are amazing. The text on the alst one, where you reflected it just ruined the whole sig and threw it all off. As ShoockProof said before. Good job mate! I really couldn't do any better ^^
Number 6 is my favorite. For a beginning, you're not bad at all. Something you definitely need to work on is depth.(I struggled with that myself, I still do.) When I say depth, I mean making it appear as if things in the background are going farther back. Like how in a photo, you can tell when things are farther away then others, and they look farther away. (This does not mean using the embed/inner bevel effect to try and achieve that, it never looks good that way.) You could work on how you utilize text as well, though you did quite well text-wise on number 2. All in all, keep up the good work. Keep practicing and make sure to read and do a lot of the tutorials in the 'Tutorials' section. It's a great way to learn a lot of new techniques.
number my fav, just take out those borders and use simple text. in fact use simple text for all yout sigs, your overdoing them for no reason. also smaller dimentions, they are just too big and show too much bg. but overall very good start. Better than me
Thanks for the criticism. I've also recently learned that you don't need stylish fonts to make your text look good, but you have to make it individual to the composition and I can keep it simple. And which one did you say was your fav?
I love your txt skill. I love the the #2 lol cute haha. But umm i not a big fan of big sigs but these r ok. Very colorful. Try using some different style. Cuz these are all pretty much the same style u have. But not bad lol looks like u have a creative mind.
