Amd Athlon Or Intel Pentium?

i prefer AMD over pentium how bout u guyz?

more efficient processors, thats how come the 3400+ (which i have) only runs at 2.4Ghz, yet gives the output of a 3.4Ghz.

AMD's run a little hotter, but they are better for what I do mostly (gaming)

 

I currently have a P4 Prescott, but want to build a new box with a FX55. I think the AMD will beat the crap out of Intel.

 

AMD blitzs pentium all the way. The 2500+ is better than any of the P4s and the FX55 is just da bomb.
I currently have a 2600+ and it runs sooo much better than my P4 2.8ghz, and looking to upgrade to a 939 pin 3500+
Then theres the addedness of amd having 64 bit.

Athlons all the way, always have been better, and now they'bve gone 64 they always will be (for the near future at least )

At the moment I have a pentium 4, but this is my first pc.
Now I know a lot more about pc's, and my next 1 will defenitly be an athlon

AMD runs hotter than P4 processor? What are you crazy? Intels run alot hotter than AMD chips. The Prescott runs hotter than any of it's AMD 64 equivalent.

 

AMD overall, all AMD processors beat the Intel versions
