Yea, I'm a sophomore in the PHS IB Program, which is in the top 400 in the world... so yea, i know what it is.
Yea, being part of both AP and IB, i would say that IB is not much harder, if at all, than AP or regular classes. Sure, you have to write a bit more, but it isn't hard at all. Plus, it looks great on a college app.
you take it after GCSE. My school is doing IB as well. But if u fail one subject in IB u fail the whole course. i think u need atleast 4 / 5 C's or above in GCSE to take the course. You take different subjects there is no like major in IB. So you pretty much have way more work. There is Standard and Higher level and this other one which is like easier. You can take 2 higher max I THINK. IB is a really tough course. But it covers alot of different stuff.
Sadly mistaken my friend, IB is much harder and more in-depth than AP classes, But if you have the ability and the will to do IB, I say take it, 4 of my friends last year all graduated with an IB Diploma and 3/4 got Presidential Scholarships to any college they want (plus one got the $100,000 Bill Gates Scholarship as well) It's an extremely challenging program But it pays off in the end.
