This is the first time I've attempted something like this. I like how it turned out, but I definitely a lot of mistakes, like the lighting on the faraway planet is screwed up completely, and the glow around the red planet is WAAAAY too intense. But these are all things I'll remember for next time. ;3 Anyway, CnC please! D: http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj147/h.../BetaGalaxy.png
Rightio, few things for you to consider for your next one. Less planets, if you've got too many you're going to lose any form of focal point (And you have). Limit yourself to only one big planet and maybe one or two little ones. In terms of doing the background, your stars aren't terrible but it doesn't work with the cloud. Try a really dark blue/green and put the stars over the top on Screen, then add a Clouds on overlay with lower opacity. Clouds stick out far too much and don't really fit. Shadow on planets, can see you've made an effort to add it on some of them but a few things. If the glow on the planet is the same all the way around it's not likely the shadow is going to be so promiment on one of the sides, try making a circle of black, blurring it and putting it in the center of the planet instead. (Depends on where your light source is) Assuming the big yellow thing is the sun, can see you have tried to establish a light source, the light needs to affect all of space though. Add a big glow below a light source, the black around the sun contradicts it. Good try, not an easy thing to make for a first trie-er. Keep at it.
