I posted this in Graphics Discussion, but maybe I'll get a faster response here.

So I moved out of my house, and I shut down my computer and transported it 300 miles. When I set it back up and started up Photoshop I noticed subtle changes. The tool bar was a single column when it used to be two columns. The history window was gone when it used to be there. I thought these were odd, but they were easy enough to change back.

Then I went to save an image. I use Save for Web, and I notice that the colors in the preview are different than the colors that I was working with when I made the signature. I've taken a screenshot of what I mean:

    My Workspace:

I had this problem before with CS2, but I had to reformat and when I reinstalled the problem went away.... at least I think that's what happened. It was a couple of years ago so I can't quite remember. I'm using CS3 now, and I've never had this problem with it before. Anyone have any ideas?

I've tried saving in by Save As instead, and I've tried various formats. I didn't really expect this to change anything but I tried anyway and nothing.

Even the colors palette is different:

    Thanks in advance.

I have noticed some changed in my cs3 also.

Different from what you have said. Some times when i save a img as a png ( as of late ) it saves as a program file not a image which is messed up so i need to delete the file and re-save it.
Even my save window has been switching itself from windows dialog to photoshop dialog ( that little button in the bottom left when you go Save As )

May i suggest backing up all your resources and reseting all tools this may fix it.
By any chance have you switched monitors? that can also explain subtle colour changes.

Make Sure when you save it gives you a bunch of colour options, that you are set to " true" or w/e.

Prehaps screening the save window. But it may be a glitch which is best to just re install PS.

"Try to make a new layer then apply image after you add noise. Then save. I only use PS 8. SO I dont know much about CS3.

So it's like the program's overall brightness changed?

:S That's messed up. :S Just because of the move? :S

It seems so. Adding the noise isn't the problem. The colors are the problem. It doesn't matter what sig it is. I could open up a previous sig that I've completed, and in the workspace it will look different than the saved version.

I did have Dual Monitors hooked up before, and I only set up 1 monitor now because I'm only staying here for like a month. So I didn't change monitors, but I took one away.... I'll try saving the resources and re-installing and seeing if that works. It's just really throwing me off. I try to make sigs, but they're coming out screwy.
