Well I'm building a new computer and would like some help. I'm looking for a decent motherboard with a socket type of LGA 775 for under $150.
AMD or Intel? This is an AMD for 149.99 specs: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813130136 Here is an Intel for 149.99 specs: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128351
I'm gonna guess your gonna get a intel, if not, get intel. You don't need to spend $150 to get a good motherboard. Insted of getting a expensive motherboard, spend it on a better video card if your gonna game or a better processor. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128337
he said LGA 775... intel is the only company that has LGA boards in the conumer market, and LGA 775 is an intel design http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813138123 that's my suggestion. It's a great overclocking board, and supports crossfire - and with AMD's current generation of graphics cards that's worth a consuderation since 2* 4850 cost $350ish and outperform a $450 GTX 280 by a signicicant margin. also p45> x38. supports PCI-e 2.0 so on newer cards like the 4850 and 4870 the crossfire performance is actually superior to x38 despite having fewer lanes the only down side to it is that it uses an ICHR10 southbridge. the SB itself is good save for the fact that there is no support for software RAID(something that probably doesn't matter a ton since it was only good for RAID 0 and RAID 10 anyway and a superior addin card doesnt cost that much)
haha i was waiting for a response from Xlink i say go with him oh and Xlink, I always wanted to ask, what do you do for a living
