    we getting in trouble coz of the renders used without permission or somthing? damn, major suckage...

    will the sites that got hosting from GR go down as well ? or only the ones as subdomains?

    Could you explain in despth and detail why it is closing down?

    I know I iant been here long but this is a great forum and we the community, havea a right to know why is closing as we have kept it alive over the year.

    Yes, that is the main reason for closing. I have received a lot of emails from games publishers asking for us to take down images they own due to copyright reasons, and I do not want to risk any lawsuits.

    As for hosting: I don't think i'll be able to keep the gamerenders domain name so unfortunatly the people using subdomains will have their hosting removed :(

    Can you not just remove the renders section?

    I'm sure it will still survive.

    Please, reconsider it.

    We are a community, if people dont stcik around after the renders are removed, it is their loss, not ours.

    Just reconsider that.

    As I said, I do not want to risk any sort of legal action. I have had numerous threats so far, so the only real way of eliminating this threat is to close the site :(

    If I do find a way of keeping the site open however or come to any agreements with any of the games publishers then I may reconsider.
