That's not amazing. It's just more work for less precision. Small companies with money trying to be creative and forgetting to be practical. The U.S. spent 3 million dollars trying to make a pen that could write in space with no gravity. After they gave up they looked at what the Soviet Union was using. They used pencils. Cheaper and more practical.
You've given the best example of the Pen and Pencil, its quite true that the companies have lost potential and small companies to grow are trying to make things uniquely but not practically. Very good, I like that point of yours, Logical.
