Well... I was at a BBQ on saturday when i noticed that my feet had swollen rather alot, i thought nothing of it at the time as it was so hot and sometimes pregnant women do swell a little because of the weight of the baby etc etc.. anyhow, i thought it would go down over night so was surprised to see that they hadn't the next morning, i came home and then noticed that my hands had also swollen, were red and blotchy and that my face was apparently also blotchy (my hands were also tingling a little). I asked my mum what i should do, whether i should go to get myself checked at the hospital or not (as they are signs of pre-eclampsia) she told me to go, which i did and was there for about 5 hours or more. They hooked me onto a machine to check babys heartbeat and also my blood pressure, they also took some of my blood and urine to make sure i had nothing in there. It turns out my blood pressure was a little high and that i had protein in my urine, they also found something else which i can't remember now, lol... they gave me the option to stay in the hospital over night or to go back tuesday (tomorrow), i said i wanted to go home and that i would go back tomorrow. They think i may have pre-eclampsia which can be very serious for both myself and my baby but they need to do more tests before they can tell me for sure... well i got a phone call today, they want me back in at 3:30pm tonight. If it is determined that i do infact have pre-eclampsia, they will have to induce me, so.. i just wanted to let you guys know what was going on and that i don't know for sure when i will be back online. (Could be later tonight, tomorrow, next week etc, i just really don't know) I will let you guys know as soon as possible what is going on, whether or not i do have pre-eclampsia or whether my blood pressure was just high and my swellings are nothing to worry about. I will be on for an hour or so more, after that who knows, so take care and hope to see you all soon
As you can see i am back home for now, the nurse i went to see did some checks on baby again and checked my blood pressure etc. At the moment its not too serious (for me to worry about right now) so i was able to come home again. I am however having some pains in my 'lower region' and piercing back pains and stomach pains so will see how that goes for a bit before deciding to go back to the hospital. My feet are still very much swollen but she said theres nothing she can do about that and to keep my feet up and not move anywhere (pff, i need to move, ill go mad if i don't lol). Anyhow, up to now everything is fine, will keep you guys updated though.

haha yeah, thanks for all the replies guys, still having some pains and it hurts when i breathe in so... will see how it goes, for now im just sat down with my legs up, chilling
