Can you prove to me that they use Mac? I can go down to my local fox broadcaster and they use WINDOWS. I think your pulling facts out of your ass.

If that were true they would be on top in the marketing and windows on bottom, sorry to burst your bubble, but its because of you or fans like you and apples "ego" . Which won't allow them to release they OSX on other hardware, Which brings me back to my other point Windows is Stronger because you can upgrade without the wait. Want the new 1203XX Graphics Card, just pop it in and go. Now do you want the new 1203XX Graphics Card? Lets wait for apple to call it Apple Hardware.

Yes I was speaking about the so called "Exaggeration" which you probably didn't know was a "Exaggeration" or what "Exaggeration" meant intill you looked it up on Wikipedia GG

Movie editing isn't solely done on Macs, its largely done on Macs, but many movie companies use Windows.

Not all professionals use Macs for graphic design. I myself am a freelance web designer who can make hundreds of dollars on each design (I have broken 1k, but that was a fluke and me ripping him off) uncoded. I also do work for local band events and cd covers. As such I am familiar with numerous graphic artists in the area (Denver, CO, USA) and *most* of them use Windows. Every computer in my college was either linux or windows, and every computer in my high school was eitherl inux or windows. The last time I saw a mac in an educational structure was in elementary school, on the OLD OLD OLD school macs.

Windows is both more versatile and more powerful than mac. Security is a subject of discussion. The primary reason macs don't have as many viruses? Because there aren't as many mac users as PC users. Computer software designers who create malicious software target the largest audience, an example would be Windows XP and Norton Antivirus as being the two main things to either attack and damage, or bypass. Your arguments are weak to say the least, before you go around demanding evidence, how about you provide some actual stats yourself.

haha then your far from -----, my 19 year old brother is a freelance web designer, any f**ker can do that with a computer and an illegal copy of photoshop. He Goes around making websites for people who own guest houses and ----, there so easy to impress because there so ignorant of the software that they throw crazy money at him. If you ever land a long-term commitment to any one employe the chances are the company will use macs and youl be trained to use them.

The last time i saw a Mac was at the Met Film school in london where im studying, we were learning Final Cut --- because oh yeah........ ALL ----- EDITING is done on macs these days and there preparing us for a future were windows wont have a look in. Final Cut just happens to be very popular program.

    ------------------
everything else is trash to me, even though the topic was called mac vs pc, its purpose was simply to address what has already been disguised in among all this irrelevant rubbish.

Oh and Zero, that wasent a sarcastic question, it was sincere though i do expect that number to be VERY LOW

Edit, Why is it when i say ----fes-ional- it gets blanked

When was the last time your brother made over 10,000 dollars in a month purely from graphic design? Point proven.

Oh, I also own the Adobe Suite, forgot to mention that before, paid for it in full. I make >$500 for a design that takes me 8 hours. I also do, as I said, local band events and cd covers, which I actually make damn good money for as well. I will NEVER accept a long term commitment to any company for graphic art. Why? Because they **** you over compared to freelance. Not to mention I have already turned the position down to a few companies I applied to with my portfolio locally considering Denver, CO is one of the largest design cities in the US.

Again, your wrong, pro editing isn't done on macs solely. Pixar doesn't use macs, it uses Windows, Wall-E was does on a Windows machine, most movies that come out today are Windows made and edited to be entirely honest. Want proof? Look up Mark Moore om IMDB, he sits on my MSN, he is a professional in Hollywood, and a friend of mine who visits myself and my mother as my mother used to date him when we lived in California. Just to summarize it in case your lazy.

Yeah, I highlighted the bigger jobs he worked on. See, there are a few of those in there... lets see, oh STAR WARS. Yeah, he was on the graphics design crew, and the old visual director. Guess what? Windows. How about you go back to wanting to be an artist, stealing photoshop and never making money off of it. Come back when you have facts.

Macs are generally less secure because all the technological retarded people who buy Macs believe that they can't get virus (due to other idiots and or trolls stating this information) and more Mac users don't run virus protection. Sure there are less viruses on Mac. Want to know why? Its because the suck and not many people use Macs compared to Windows therefore a virus on Windows is a lot more effective than it is on Mac because more people are running Windows.

macs have less viruses because writers don't see a point to writing them.

Title of thread is horrible. PC =/= Microsoft.

The answer here is "they are idiots", and I doubt George Lucas is computer savvy. Do you?

This debate is going in the wrong direction. a PC is not a Windows Computer.

Yeah that's great, but I asked why people say they're good for design, I already know all that security stuff.
