Basically, this is making my computer crash. There are no hardware problems, since the computer is new. I'm pretty sure I just have to download the most recent version of the driver, but I can't find it.
Is it a Dell? See if this helps If Not, then I would just re-format and that should fix the whole problem ^_^ Source: here Another Article from Intel http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/imst/sb/CS-020825.htm -Zain
It isn't a Dell. It's an Acer Aspire 8920G. I doubt reformatting would solve the problem, since this is happening since the first day I had the computer. Also, I'm running Vista.
Oh ok. Well, the only thing I can say is try to back-up all your stuff. Take the HD out and throw it or contact Acer for the download of the driver. http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads.html Go there and search ... I don't see the 8920G Z
Does it randomly happen as a BSOD? Check your Event Viewer (Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Event Viewer) and see what happens right before it crashes. That should give you an idea if it's software-related. I'm too lazy to search right now, but Google can help you.
