    supposedly the battery life sucks.

so it's not even a consideration to me. my current phone lasts 4-6 days on a single charge if unused or lightly used, iphone lasts 1 day

my TyTTN II survives 3 days if u only talk few and unsued, but lasts 1.5 days if i listen music for 3 hours and talk the rest :D
anyways i think the diff. the new is that it has 3G .. though im not livin in states, but i checked up lots of vidz on youtube people complaining from AT&T,about canceling their contracts, lieing and other stuff.. though my dad has an iphone unlocked and it works fine, and it needs delicate usage :D

because apple is the nazi of the tech world they spread propaganda of their superiority and then basically use their followers for their profit...

battery on your iPhone dies in 2 years? buy the new model it's even cheaper*
and the newer unit, while possessing newer technology like everything else, is of inferior build as compared to its predecessor.

*not cheaper after contractual fees are considered

Sorry but I'm sticking with my BlackBerry Curve for now. And upgrading to the BlackBerry Bold once it coems out.
BlackBerry is for those who like media, applications, and customization.
You don't have to "Jailbreak" a blackberry and void the warranty to customize it. It's open to 3rd party application and all you need is a usb cable to do whatever you want with it.
Oh and we also have a browser like the iTouch, it's called Opera. We can also stream youtube videos. And guess what we have gps, free or payed. Oh also, your precious iPhone is really $400/$500 without a contract. So cry on.

The Iphone is really a suck-ass smartphone. Sony Ericcson and samsung both bring out a new and better one.

Though those last brands don't carry the name 'apple' which is quite a reason for the crowd to buy it. Don't know why, I think a banana tastes better.

    Apple FTL FTW

Lolz. I'll stick to my Sony Erricson, which is cheaper and makes me happy.

    "Oooh, touch screen!"

    Have fun with your iSuicide.

"Bringing to a tragic conclusion to one parent/child argument of "Why can't I have the iphone?" "Because you have to earn it yourself", a 12-year old English boy attempted to scare his parents after they refused to let him get a cellphone by faking a suicide, and unfortunately only succeeded at killing himself. It's just bizarre that just a few years ago you weren't cool in school unless you had the right Visions or Calvin Kleins, and now the cellphone is the adolescent must-have status symbol du jour."

I bought the G3 last Friday and this is true. The battery life isn't all that great but I've been using it constantly and it's lasted me a day, I'm not sure what it would be with just casual use. (I'll keep you posted).

I personally think the phone is great and is a substantial upgrade from my Razr, I'm able to surf the net, watch Youtube videos and check my email on the go.

I have the first iPhone... :)

No. I just updated it and it's fine as it is. I don't need to spend an extra $10/month for the service on the new one.

    Any difference? Lol
    3G and GPS i think

    Unlocked or AT&T?
    AT&T. I wouldn't wanna risk it!

Like others before me have said, I too have heard that the battery life isn't too long on the iPhone. You have to turn off some features as well as adjust the backlight to prolong the battery life as long as possible. As for removing the battery, it doesn't seem removable. Even if you can remove it, you will most likely void your warranty.
