Hey Everyone!! I didn't see a topic, so decided to put one up!

If you have PS3... did you guys see the trailer for Massive Action Game (MAG)? You can download the E3 conference highlight of it in the Playstation store or see the trailer by clicking here. I'd embed the video, but not sure how or if I'm allowed to.

I'm a big shooter fan, both on Xbox and on PS3 (so please, no console wars), and this definitely is a game that I will be picking up - especially because it was developed by Zipper Interactive (creators of Socom). I've been a Socom fan since Day 1, beta tested 2 & 3, went to the pre-release party for Combined Assault, and will be picking up Socom: Confrontation for PS3. If you played Socom, you know that there was 256 players per server.... right? Well in MAG, it's 256 players per battle (not sure if each battle has its own server or not)... and of all those players, you go in as squads of 8 with your own separate team objective. I pray that there won't be ANY lag! I'm hoping it's going to be third person, but I'm still down to play if it's first person.

Anyone else planning on picking this up? And what do you guys think of it?

think i've already noticed a thread for this game.
my personal opinion: i'm not really into that kind of games. i rather choose a game like COD instead of this kind of game.

trailer looks nice but don't expect to much from it.

Sony gonna have to spend a TITS LOAD on more computers to handle the servers and connections. 256 people on a single server? Say hello to major laggage.

Sounds like it could be a great game. But it could end up kinda like communism.

I'll say it as I do in every thread about this.

They wouldn't be making it if it wasn't possible with minimal lag.

True, and also. Aloud of this is on Sony shoulders, if Sony fails with this. Then I think they will have an even harder time getting through.
